Re: Getting too much visitors which are looking like spam

Same happened to my site with the similar type IP addresses. I tried adding them with phpbb as a banned IP address and that kept them off the site however they were still hammering the server. I ended up adding the IP ranges to the .htaccess file. And that has now brought everything back to normal. ...

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

Just for closure on this.
I uninstalled the subsilver2 remnants from my production board.
Copied over the changed files.
Ran the database updater.
Production site is running v3.2.3 now.

thanks

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

You have had that style before? Drop/remove that subsilver form db. wow......result :) I used the uninstall option in the ACP to remove the subsilver2. An error did appear stating that it couldn't as there wasn't a subsilver2 folder, however, it must have tidied something up as the PHP Debug messag...

ok, check the database using phpmyadmin or whatever you use.

make sure there is no mention of subsilver2 in any of the style/template tables
In the Styles table I have two rows:
Style Id1 is prosilver
Style Id2 is subsilver2

What template table are you referring to?

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

just to be clear, you should not be using the changed files unless you have been editing the core phpbb files for some reason. I had made a change to viewtopicbody.html for Adsense and was comfortable in doing so as I have done in previous updates etc also, you do not do a full install. My terminol...

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

That is correct :( Appreciate the attempt :) I'd love to know if there was any way of debugging so I could see what is potentially causing it. All extensions I have are disabled, so I assume none of them is causing it. I think I will probably have to delete the test site and copy in a fresh version...

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

start over and don't use the auto update method at all. https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.2/kb/article/updating-32x/ follow those instructions exactly and in order and you should be fine. rob ert I have just finished using the above instruction sand the same thing is still showing. The auto u...

are you sure you are using the correct database/table prefix in your config.php file?

robert
Robert,
I double checked the config file, everything is grand in it.
The forum had been working fine with 3.2.2 prior.

Are you sure that you do not have a subsilver2 folder in your styles folder?
I don’t.
There’s only two folders, one called All and then prosilver.

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

Have you made any changes to the core files? If not, re-upload the contents of the full package. See Knowledge Base - Updating 3.2.x I'd made one change to the Overallfooter file to include a PayPal button. I removed the code, re uploaded, purged the cache etc and the warnings still appear. Cant fo...

Try this: assuming prosilver is style 1

Code: Select all

UPDATE 'phpbb_users' SET 'user_style'=1
That should set everyone to prosilver. Not sure if that will make the error go away, but worth a try.
Tried, and didn't make any difference.

Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

All, I have a test site and a production site, both running v3.2.2 Tonight I decided to update the test one to v3.2.3. I chose the "Changed Files" route and uploaded all of the changed files successfully (I have used the Changed Files option previously etc) The database update in the install section...
