Re: Problem with all post returning No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

And in my case the problem has gone away all by itself - I was in hospital at the time so I know I was nothing I did .

I assume it must be something my hosting provider changed.

Re: Problem with all post returning No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

I did it that way round anyway. Only inherited this forum late last year, and moved it to my hosting. I created all the subdomains first on the local nameservers on the new host, then restored backups of the old forum. Upgraded to a decent version of PhpBB and then changed the domain records to poin...

Re: Problem with all post returning No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

Disable url re-writing in the ACP and see if that does anything. It's already disabled - have tried enabling it just in case but no joy. how subdomains work depends on your host' server setup so you will need to contact them about how to setup a true subdomain. robert Subdomains are set up through ...

Re: Problem with all post returning No route found for "GET /viewtopic.php"

Interesting - I'm having a slightly similar problem and I'm hosted with https://www.eleven2.com as well. In my case I have a forum in the /forum subdirectory of my site and if I access it that way there is not a problem. But I also have a forum subdomain pointing to the same subdirectory - although ...

Ah! That's probably probably where I was going wrong then! I seem to have forgotten that if you put a category within a category it displays like a forum, not like a top level category.

Please forgive the fact that my senile dementia is obviously much worse than I thought!

Setting a forum just for subforums

OK, firstly let me apologize, I'm sure I've done this before but can't remember how! Likewise a search here has not found me the solution. I want to set up a forum on a PHPBB3 site such that it is just a container for a number of subforums and cannot be posted to - rather like the 3.0.x Modification...

Re: [RC] Karma MOD

m157y, if you are still reading this, I have discovered a few bugs with the leave karma comments function on subsilver 2. .......... This is with version 1.12 and I can replicate this behaviour on both a 3.04 clean install board and a 3.05 board. Sorry if you have fixed this in 1.13 or 1.14 but I h...

Adding to the stylesheet

OK I'm looking at trying to write my first mod. It will add various fields to the view topic template amongst others. I am unsure of the right/preferred way to add the stylesheet definitions for these fields, should I add them to the existing stylesheet for the theme or should I create my own styles...

Re: ASP based forum to phpBB3, any issues?

IportalX is not particularly common and I don't think there is a converter available or even a converter to another bb that can be converted to phpbb2/3. If you can't find one the depending on your timescale/budget you'll need to persuade or pay someone to write it for you. It's not a horrendous tas...

Re: Incorrect display of forum structure in index.php

The file is phpbb_forums ( or whatever your prefix is) in the database. You need to run an SQL query to set left_id and right_id to zero , use something like PHPMYADMIN, if you've only got a few forums just edit each record in turn otherwise write a query to do it. I'm to tired to work out the SQL a...

I don't think jumping on users when they may possibly have violated the terms of use of this forum serves any useful purpose, isn't that what we have moderators for ? I know children like to play the mother with younger siblings from time to time, but it's best to leave leave the job to a responsibl...

From my memory from we had problems with ./../cache/data_global.php , this file is recreated when a time limit expires. Is it not possible that one task is in the process of writing a new version of the file so that no other task is able to access it? Our problem was we had an invalid syntax error i...
