Show info on page only to members of a specific group?

Hi, I am trying to add some areas in my theme that will only display information to a user if they are part of a specific group. This group is not one of the built in ones (mod, admin, etc.) but is a created group for special members of the forum who also have access to hidden forums. I know there ar...

I've sent some questions to you by PM, Once I get some answers we can see what we can do to fix things.

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

While I don't think that this workflow is common, the fact that it CAN happen means that I'll update the code to check the banlist before deleting someone. In that case I won't have the mod delete them. I should have a newer version ready from my dev site at http://www.awsom.org by the beginning of ...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

Unless you are specifically pre-emptively adding users to a banlist before they ever post or activate their registration there is nothing left in the database. The question though is what behavior do people want in regard to the pre-emptive workflow for the banlist? I presume you wouldn't want these...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

BTW, for those interested, I've posted a quick hack that can upgrade the automation function to fire more often than if a mod or admin views a forum. Details are in this post http://harknell.com/viewtopic.php?t=2488 on my harknell.com support forum (scroll down to find the mod details).

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

Sorry for not being super active on the forum recently, I've mostly been working on Wordpress stuff and this mod area wasn't updated for a long time. Ok, let me see here. This mod is designed and limited to deleting people who have an unactivated account and NEVER activated it. This is on purpose to...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

The design idea of making the lowest setting one hour in the past was to prevent deleting legitimate users that may have just signed up to your forum in the last few minutes from being deleted before they could get to the link in their email to activate their registration. It would be unfortunate to...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

The 2.0.0 version of this mod (which added automation) has been done for almost 2 months now. Unfortunately the phpbb.com website's mod database has also been down for that length of time and has no projected return time. As a result I have decided to release the 2.0.0 version of this mod from my we...

Re: MOD Validation Status

Um, from what I understand we aren't supposed to submit mod updates right now, is this still true? Some of the last few answers from staff here seem to indicate that we CAN submit updates. I would like to add the 2.0.0 version of one of my mods to the database (since many people are waiting for it),...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

Actually, the 1.2.0 release is a full release without the need for a previous one. If you install 1.2.0 from scratch it will install the full version. If you had previously installed 1.0.0 or 1.1.0 you could use the updater mod script (in the contrib folder) that's included to simply update to 1.2.0...

That download link is for the 1.1.0 version, http://www.phpbb.com/files/mods/expire_ ... _1_2_0.zip would be better.

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

Uh, it should be in the main folder. Let me check to see if something got messed up with the download when the phpbb site went poof a few weeks ago. Just checked, the download seemed fine. The mod file in the main folder is correct and has all of the language files needed. they are: // Expire Unacti...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

Oops, the "update" mod file is only for users of versions 1.0 and 1.1, it only contains the language addons that weren't in those versions (it added a few new timeframes to the list that you can select). If you want to add the full version of 1.2, that one contains all of the language file...

Re: [11/02/07] Expire Unactivated Users by Timeframe

What language parts are missing for you? Did the mod successfully complete (did you use easymod?) Also, did you update from a previous version or was this a fresh install? The language file changes were all normally packed into the mod file itself and should work.
