Thank you, Rickey29! This mod is exactly what I have been looking for! I have only been using it for a day but neither I nor my users have found a single glitch. It has worked perfectly for our needs on all the phones tested so far! Thank you very much for creating such an amazing and useful mod! I ...

Installing Site Meter in phpBB2

Hello again! I am trying to install Site Meter http://www.sitemeter.com on my forum. I am told to paste a short bit of html at the end of my index.html file. Of course, as this is all php/tpl, I'm not quite sure where to put that code. Also, they offer a code for PHP-Nuke sites, but I don't think th...

Hi y'all, I think I figured it out! I added this to "viewforum_body.tpl": <tr> <td><a href="{U_POST_NEW_TOPIC}"><img src="{POST_IMG}" border="0" alt="{L_POST_NEW_TOPIC}" /></a></td> </tr> Then, I added this to "viewtopic_body.tpl": <tr> <td><a href="{U_POST_REPLY_TOPIC}"><img src="{REPLY_IMG}" borde...

Thanks very much for the fast replies! I added the code just above {POLL_DISPLAY} and while it did add the buttons, it also added a wide space in each post. The space is between the user's avatar and the left edge of their posts. Here's a screenshot: http://www.virgilturtle.com/user/forum01.jpg Here...

How to add "New Topic" button to top of forum page

I hope I'm posting this question in the correct forum. If not, I apologize. I use the Nosebleed style and my users are very reluctant to change. One thing they consistantly request though is to have the "New Topic" button placed at the top of the pages rather than in its present location at the bott...

Hidden users question

Actually, two questions: 1. I often see 1 "Hidden User" on my forum. I wasn't aware the people could be hidden. Is there a way to stop users from being hidden? 2. Everyday, there will be 14 to 50 "Guests" on my forum. It's not a huge, interesting, popular forum; it's just some friends who chat when ...

OK, that did it. Thank you very much, Groundfighter & Flogger. I guess I got spoiled by the GUI but apparently you just can't beat working from the command prompt... lol. Thanks again everyone!

Thank you all very much for all the great tips. Serious insight here for someone like me! ;) Presently, I have re-installed phpBB2 at the new location, created a database for it in MySQL Account Maintenance, uploaded all the files to a directory I created for it, etc. Basically, I have a nice, new, ...

Need help transferring my forum from old web host to new one

I'm very sorry if this question has been posted before (I'm certain it has). I couldn't get the search function to work. Here's my question: I have a phpBB2 forum currently hosted with Globat.com. As they maintain a stunning 62% uptime record, I have decided to move to LunarPages.com. Can anyone tel...
