Re: 3.0.0 to 3.0.1

I found the best way to deal with the conflicts is to view the conflicts and then remove any mod code close to where the conflict occurs and then check the files again, eventually if you remove the main conflicts the file will list with no conflicts.....make a note of what you removed and then add ...

Re: BBCode buttons not functioning during post preview

Tried to see the problem on your forum using the test login you provided me with and I cannot get it to fail. Maybe I misunderstand the problem? I tried a new post and a reply to your existing post. I entered some test, clicked preview to preview the post and updated the text. I could add smileys an...

Re: Removing prefixes from a table in phpMyAdmin

Yes you are renaming the table to remove the prefix. e.g. you would want to rename phpbb_users to simply users . You can do this in phpmyadmin by selecting your database, clicking on the table you want to rename in the list of tables, then when the table is displayed click on the operations tab. The...

Re: BBCode buttons not functioning during post preview

OOps, you said BBCode not smileys  . But they work in much the same way so I'm still willing to help. I have added extra BBCode buttons on my site to add images from our album into posts.

Re: BBCode buttons not functioning during post preview

Have you checked to see if you have any javascript errors being reported when the page loads or when you click on a smiley?

If you give me access to your test account I do not mind looking. I have modified the smiley code on my forum so am reasonably familiar with how it works.

Re: View last post

You may like this mod which I have on my forum which gives you this sort of functionality.

http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5&t=341858

It does not list the past X posts, but allows you to select posts in the past X minutes, hours, days etc which is even better IMHO.

Re: Most users ever online was xxxx

I found this too. So I modified page_header.php to only record visible and hidden users rather than visible, hidden and guests by adding a new variable $registered_online_users. After resetting the database field back to zero I now have a far more sensible value. I also modified lang_main.php so the...

Re: Log-In / Administration Problem [Priority-High]

Proxy Server Detected! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This is what it says on the What Is My IP Address? Website. Well, I mean since a few months ago phpBB forums worked perfectly fine, and just lately they have been doing this. and I try to Check the Log Me In Automatically Each Time I Visist CheckBox. No di...

Re: Log-In / Administration Problem [Priority-High]

Do you or your ISP use any form of proxying system so your IP address frequently changes, possibly for every web page request? If so this would cause the problems you are seeing. If you are unsure try going to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/ and see if this reports you using a proxy and re-load se...

Re: Color Groups install

Well, on my forum it's on line 1166 but I doubt this helps since I'm sure I have different MODs to you. I you cannot find this text it would imply your file is already modified in some way so you will need to work out where the same thing is being done elsewhere.

Re: Banning IPs

This should not be possible and I tried it on my test forum (running 2.0.22) and cannot re-produce this. I have the same mod to log registration IP addresses too. I had thought that maybe the final registration code did not check the ip address so if someone used a direct post without going through ...

Are you sure you have exactly the same settings in the email setting section of the forum configuration for the two forums? i.e. the same server address etc.

Re: Users cant Register

You have a comma missing after the gender field in the SQL update: ... user_gender, user_dateformat ... ... 0 'D M d, Y g:i a',... The zero is the gender, the text following is the date format but there should be a comma between the two. Therefore you have an error in the line in includes/usercp_reg...
