Re: SMTP Mail Not Working with phpBB3 3.0.6 & SSL

Well, the bottom line is I got it working.

I'm running Xampp and I was 2 versions behind, so I updated it and now I can send email.
I also had to create an exception in my Yahoo mail for the server to be able to use the SMTP server correctly.

Thanks for all of your insight nn.

Re: SMTP Mail Not Working with phpBB3 3.0.6 & SSL

I have this in the PHP Info page:

Code: Select all

allow_url_fopen	On	On
allow_url_include	Off	Off
Is this correct for fsockopen?

Alright, I performed a full overwrite of my board and updated to PL1, then installed my Guild Wars MOD.

Everything seems to be working fine.

Re: Trouble downloading changed files after attempting an up

There is no store folder in your phpbb3 folder. Also, as ric says, some of your files are from 3.0.7. Like all the ones in the docs folder. However, the files in your files folder are earlier. Where is the "Store" folder supposed to be and what version created it? My last update was from ...

OK, I Thought I made myself clear. I was able to unzip the auto update files to my server, both the install folder and the docs folder. Then I was able to update the database using the update feature through the ACP. Then the install compared changed files to old files and gave me a list of files th...

Re: Trouble downloading changed files after attempting an up

rime, is this supposed to help me.

If I am missing a folder was is something that was added with an earlier update?

Should I perform some incremental updates to get from 3.0.4 to 3.0.7, instead of jumping the directly there?

Please someone help.

Re: CHMOD of config.php

How would you go about this on Windows servers?
I am running them in my garage and I can access them any time with RDP.
So the FTP thing is a little over kill.
Are there MODS for windows, that anyone knows about?
