No one can be expected to browse 600 pages!

Hi Luke, Edit the '$max_width = 400;' entry on line 41 of /forum/attach_mod/includes/functions_thumbs.php. I reduced mine from the default 400 pixels to a more manageable 150. My other issue that the thumbnail is activated by file size and not image dimensions cannot be solved since they only do bug...

RSS and authentication

Unfortunately unlike Indemnity I lack the expertise to collaborate. However here are a few ideas. 1. While it does not authenticate the existing RSS mod does work really well so maybe you could try to get its author to collaborate. http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=144548 2. I also found th...

RSS and authentication

Hi Mark, Your (and Indemnity's) Digest mod is great. It worked really easily and well. I am curious if you are working on the RSS with authentication mod. This would be REALLY cool since the existing RSS mod is only for public forums. That said it does work. However, authentication is key to protect...

Re: Help: Thumbnails size cannot be specified

This is the best MOD I have used but: 1. I cannot figure out how to control Thumbnail size. I have managed to use the thumbnail feature and imagemagick etc. but it puts out a fairly large thumbnail. 2. It decides whether to create a thumbnail based on a filesize you specify (default= 12000 bytes) b...

Re: upgrading from previous version

Is there a step-by-step set of instructions for upgrading this mod from version 2.3.10 to the latest version? I don't care how complex it is or how many days it takes me to make the mods!!! Please! I've got to get this mod working again without starting from scratch! I am convinced that is a simple...

RSS and authentication

It would be really cool to have authentication in conjunction with this MOD. Currently it bypasses the login requirement and makes by private forums readable public. If only it could ask for the phpBB username and password as an intermediate step. I found the following link on Google. I wonder if it...

The best thing to do is modify the registration page to tell people to check there spam/bulk mail folder. I did this in bold letters. No one reads it and they just lose interest. That is why I thought that if GMAIL's SMTP server could somehow be made to work with PHPBB we might have a temporary wor...

First of all, unless the user specifies it, spam isn't deleted by any of the biggies; it's just marked as spam, and put into a different folder. The users receive it, but they don't normally read it. Agreed, "deleted" was an unfortunate choice, I meant "moved to spam folder" but it is just as bad i...
