Re: Topic icons style-based

Let's be honest, the out of the box topic icons are pointless and I haven't seen many forum admins who use them as they are. Most admins add their own icons which are PNG and work with both light and dark base styles, for example, solved, news, video, music, etc. This is like the contact icons, ther...

Re: Covid: the end of the known world? 🔚

Does science tell us when it will surely end and everything will return to normal? Is it worth being? I want to be free, whatever the cost, even death. What about you? Lets face it, we are not returning to normality anytime soon. A new variant will eventually come along that the vaccine won't work ...

Re: Covid: the end of the known world? 🔚

Anyone who refuses the jab is selfish and I’d certainly vote for the refusal of treatment. Some people have a fear of needles - not having the vaccine does not make them selfish. I'm English but I would not trust the English vaccine, we have a government who after Brexit wants to jump on anything p...

Re: Covid: the end of the known world? 🔚

most of the deaths are people with one foot in the grave. You couldn't be more disrespectful to those who have lost someone to this disease. Oh they were half dead anyways, We hear this from people who make excuses for late lockdowns and late border closes. In this day and age someone can have a he...

Re: Where can I host phpBB for free?

There are tons of free hosting offers online, free domain offers too, all you have to do is make a spare email address, sign up, try, if it's rubbish, just sign up to the next, many of them don't have ad's at all, you'll find the better ones further down the search listings. Not recommended for a pr...

Re: Where to edit colours of QUick Link Menu?

As a side not, don't forget that this changes the colour of most other links across the forum style. a { color: #021b2f; } To target the quick links menu specifically, /* This is for the "quick links" trigger font colour */ .navbar .quick-links .dropdown-trigger { color: red; } /* This is ...

Re: quickreply attach box

To be fair, if there is already a quick reply box at the bottom, it makes sense to be able to use most of the functions that one would use within the full editor there. Can't remember which software it was, may have even been a phpBB but I remember seeing a forum that had the users avatar at the sid...

Re: Considering Creating a phpbb forum, can I use an existing forum?

I wouldn't really recommend using it but the old fashioned iframe way still works on a lot of forums,

Code: Select all

<iframe src="https://goldwave.ca/forums/" width="1000px" height="1000px" title="GoldWave Forums"></iframe>

@Holger is right, you can edit the opacity of the image using software or online using something like this: https://www.peko-step.com/en/tool/alphachannel_en.html

Re: Customisation Database - slow process for getting new extension releases?

Good points well made, It may encourage more authors who don't bother to get them validated to actually do it, Personally the only reason I bothered to get one of my styles validated was just to know I was doing it right  A question for style validators, do they have a checklist to go through o...
