Re: Doubts about polls

Sorry, I was thinking on a moderator with some admin roles activated, that is, an admin with just the access to that ACP panel. :mrgreen:

Re: Doubts about polls

The Advanced Polls extension does not have the ability to add/remove the options without the reset, by now. My idea is to create a second ACP panel for that extension, that would be restricted to admins and mods. There the options of a poll could be edited and also reordered with a form similar to t...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

Just to be sure, print to the console the value of res.can_vote or also the value of the object res. res.can_vote is one of the variables from the object res, that contains data of the poll. The extension Advanced Polls replaces the ajax callback when votes are hidden. The replaced callback is vote_...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

So the condition (!res.can_vote) would be true in your case, but that means you cannot vote. :!:

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

Will this be "RC" soon? To the users that has it installed ---> No errors? All good? Not in the near future. Despite its beta state, it is very reliable. I was also wondering if the "Average question" from cachete has an solution. I'm also looking for an option to show the average of the votes give...

Re: phpBB poll with rating

Have you seen the Advanced Polls extension?
viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2460191
It lacks the stars format you are looking for, but you can give a number of votes (equivalent to number of stars) to each option.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

The new line is inserted in the same code that does not work for you, maybe that is the problem. Let's try another location. Change this part: // Display "Your vote has been cast." message. Disappears after 5 seconds. var confirmationDelay = (res.can_vote) ? 300 : 900; to this one: // Display "Your ...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

In the crucial part of function.js file that you indicated the other day. Just paste the first line, the other lines are the reference to know where to paste the first one.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

One solution for the popup would be to add a line swith the phpbb.confirm function in function.js:

Code: Select all

				phpbb.confirm(poll.find('.vote-submitted').text());

				$(this).delay(5000).fadeOut(500, function () {
					resizePanel(300);
				});

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

That is the line. The part "style="display: none;" in my code is from the fading after the submitting. You should check the changes on that line during the submitting, with the Inspect option of the browser (right clic + Inspect in Chrome, Inspect element in Firefox). When visible, "display: block;"...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

Check if this line appears after the button in the source code of the page with the poll: <div class="vote-submitted hidden" style="display: none;">Your vote has been cast.</div> After the vote is submitted, the jQuery function "slideDown" makes visible the message, "delay(5000)" waits 5 seconds and...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

In which language file I should find the string "Your vote has been cast."? In "language/en/viewtopic.php". In other languages look for the variable VOTE_SUBMITTED. I think this is the crucial part, in the function.js file: Yes. In this case, I just see a loading rotation for a few seconds but no m...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

With the Prosilver theme, after the vote is submitted, the message "Your vote has been cast." is visible during five seconds below the "Submit vote" button. It is the same as the phpBB default polls. Are you using Prosilver theme? With Prosilver you can increase the time delay: in the file ext/wolfs...
