Re: Maximum usage of font colour in a single post

Yes, you read my mind, I'm on my way to try to do that testing. I will post about the result shortly. EDIT: I have performed that test (you can see the result in the link posted above). There's indeed a limit for the usage of BBC code Font Colour and it's 1000. So knowing that, is there's a way to ...

phpbb.addAjaxCallback - update a value in the DB

Hi all, I have a phpbb.addAjaxCallback working right so far. I would like to add a function there, which updates a custom column's value in the TOPICS table, that's an INT. Say +1 or -1. I am looking for some example used by extensions (validated) so I can study the stuff. My Ajax skills aren't enou...

How to check if MySql with ext.php

Hi everybody, I would like to deny the installation of an extension if the Board is not using MySql(i) or MariaDB. I am working on porting a very small portion of our code to be DBAL compliant. In the meantime I don't really want to get related support questions, in case. Q: how to check that bit in...

Looks like it does, I have tried to test locally ib2phpbb convertor made in 2005. And it failed due to usage of MySQL.
Are you confident with PHP?

Re: How to prevent creation of SPAM topics with topic_last_poster_id=0?

topic_last_poster_id = 0 ?¿

The topic_last_poster_id is the equivalent of the user_id, the ANONYMOUS user (guests) they have as identifier 1 (user_id/poster_id etc..).

Looks like you deleted the anonymous user at some point?

Re: IP.Board 2.1.6 to phpBB 3.2.2

Is the new 3.2.2 forum running on PHP >= 7? The original MySQL extension is being deprecated and will be removed from the core starting from PHP 7, so you can try to use a lesser version of PHP to install the 3.2.2 (i.e. 5.6.xx) and after the conversion raise again to 7. Is the convertor using speci...

Thanks. I'm looking forward to those. Any idea how soon they might be published and approved? Weeks, Months?
Just subscribe to the topic and follow the development, published should be a question of 1/2 months approx.

Approved? That's a good question, too much from heaven if I knew. :)

Re: A sign-up sheet ext

.. <snip>.. in that case, if above extension doesn't fit, then you have to wait for another solution. I think at the end all you get is a total number of responses. There is no option when setting up a poll to collect names. The extension GanstaZ linked you to does, at the present stage, what you w...

Re: event on multi array

Hi, I am having hard time to correctly understand your question, especially the last one. I mean, assuming you are using the core.generate_forum_nav event, your code should look like this I guess... $forum_data = $event['forum_data']; $navlinks = $event['navlinks']; $navlinks_parents = $event['navli...
