The following change in includes/functions_post.php kills the ability to recognize named quotes (quotes in the format [qoute="asinshesq"]...) on my board: It looks like a lot of people are having this problem. But on my forum at least, I didn't have this problem. We too are having the exact same pr...

Thanks for the response. I think another mod that I installed created another post_submit and post_prepare, so I had to modify both to accomodate this new mod. You may want to mention that in the instruction. About letting boardtracker to index our website, it just feels weird. Our board now is depe...

Further, only these characters a-z A-Z 0-9 - + , . are allowed, so tags in other languages may not be allowed.

Otherwise, it seems like a good mod. I hope the author shows me how to fix these two problems . :)

I installed this MOD, but the instruction is not correct (I think). The following instruction submit_post($mode, $post_data, $return_message, $return_meta, $forum_id, $topic_id, $post_id, $poll_id, $topic_type, $bbcode_on, $html_on, $smilies_on, $attach_sig, $bbcode_uid, str_replace("\'", "''", $use...

I'm familiar with taxonomy systems, such as Drupal's. But here, based on what I see, I don't think it's quite the same. In Drupal's for example, you can tag posts with tags. And when people click on a tag, only those posts that are tagged with the keywords show up. This is very specific and is diffe...

one question: How is this different from users simply having these keywords in their posts? For example, if someone has the word "dvd" in his post, then there's no reason to tag the post with the keyword "dvd" right? Because the search -- apparently -- would treat the two scenarios identically the s...

Question about upgrading to 2.0.19 ... PLEASE HELP !!!

Our forum's version is 2.0.13 with several official and unofficial mods. We are thinking about upgrading to the latest version 2.0.19. But first, i'd like to know

(1) will the upgrading expectedly be trouble-free?
and
(2) will we lose all the mods?

Thanks alot.

Is there anyway to see this mod works? or do i have to wait until a hacker whose userid is not 2 to comes in? I commented out "if(userid != 2)" so that all accesses to ACP result in an email notification, but so far I haven't received any email whenever I access ACP. (I'm using 2.0.13). Any reason?

Is there a mod that keeps a list of IP addresses of all users? For example, insert the IP address if it is new, into the database whenever a user logs in. It will incur some cost at logging it, but it serves the purpose better. Admins can choose how many IP addresses need to be kept, to not let the ...

I have a problem with this mod. It works fine on my local machine (with phpbb 2.0.14). However, when I upload it (version 1.0.3) to the server (with php 2.0.13), it seemed to have problems with RDF sources. In particular, on the server when I clicked on "Newsfeed Sources" (which probably points to a...

This is the code of the relevant part in functions.php . It's probably some if-then-else is needed to straighten up. if ($parent_lookup==$forum_rows[$j]['forum_id'] && !$assigned) { $template->assign_block_vars('switch_parent_link', array() ); $template->assign_vars(array( 'PARENT_NAME' => $forum_ro...

This mod fixes the HIDDEN forum, BUT .... the in the non-HIDDEN forums the subforums don't show correctly. The parent's name appears *twice*; i.e. Forum Index -> Parent forum -> Parent forum -> sub forum I just installed 1.06. Everything works fine except ....... The parent of a subforum doesn't sho...

ArkServer, Not possible yet. The subforum tree goes only one level deep (that is why its called "pseudo"). Parent forum \______Child forum (subforum) \_____Child of a Child forum (subforum 2) --- Not implemented From a 'philosophical' point of view (of mine), 2 or more levels deep should not be imp...

Any quick fix ???? ?Thanks.

Actually, I stored the files before installing version 1.05. Does this mean that if I just modify those files (+ others required by 1.06) according to the 1.06 version and upload those to replace the old ones, will that work?

Thansk.
