You can edit the permissions from the Administrators group to allow post editing. :)

Re: admin permissions

Admin permissions are for all functions in the admin panel. Moderator permissions are for all abilities of editing/delete posts and topics on the board. There is a difference between those. :) You would need to assign global moderator permissions to the Administrators group or add your to the Globa...

admin permissions

I'm the admin of my site and yet I still can't edit posts. Can someone tell me how I set the permissions for this. I've set the admin permissions to ALL, but I still cannot edit posts. I've checked my user permissions and it has some functions as YES and some functions as NO. Cheers. :)

Re: Adding text to footer area

Thanks Adam, I looked at that file. Is there a certain area where I can put the text in without messing everything up? I added <p>text</p> in my header replacing the description part, would I add the same <p> tags again in the footer. Thanks again. :)

Adding text to footer area

Just wondering if I'm able to add text to the footer of my forum. I'd like it In the area as you have on this site where it has text which reads: The team • Delete all board cookies • All times are UTC I have added text already to my overall_header, can anyone let me know if this can be done and wha...

Re: Site description:

It is limited to 255 characters due to database structure. However, you can hard code a longer description into overall_header.html. REPLACE this: <p>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</p> WITH this: <p>blahblahblah</p> Or, you could add a language entry to the language/en/common.php file, and then do this: <p>{L_...

Thanks for that, but that link takes forever to popup. I waited 5 minutes, will try later on.

Embedding Youtube videos

I remember seeing a topic on here about this, but having searched for it, I've come up with nothing. Can anybody point me to a tutorial/topic on how to embed video into my forum? Thanks.

Re: Demoting a Moderator

It depends on how you did make him a moderator. In most cases you will remove him from all groups that have moderator permission and remove all user based permissions. If you don't know why the user still has moderator permissions you could do a trace at admin -> permissions -> forum moderation per...

Demoting a Moderator

What's the easiest way of making one of my Global Moderators back to just a registered user. I've tried quite a few things and yet it seems he's still a mod. Do I have to remove him as a mod from all his forums or is there a main remove Global Moderator Status button I can use? Thanks.

Un-banning a member

One of my mods banned a member for 30 days and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to un-ban him. Can anyone help with this please.
Cheers.
