Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

I am going to do a fresh install.

For the life of me I don't understand how I can get notifications that files are being overwriten, in an empty folder ?
Not just once, but a couple of times over.

This has become like something out of the X Files

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

So, the bottom line seems to be that this latest version phpBB (3.2.7) has some serious shortcomings.

Do I really have to delete my board, and start all over again ?

Or do I look at premium paid for software ?

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

I have alredy well and truely deleted the vendor folder and its contents along with numerous other folders as advised in prevous posts. The reason that I provided the screenshots is to show that somehow, files that should not exist, and are certainly not visible in my web space, are still being over...

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

Well, its nice to know that some of it is OK. But how can there be these files, when the folders were deleted prior to the fresh upload ? I am still getting the 500 error message. I have just had another look and there is a huge error file in the forum folder, much of it related to the vendor folder...

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

Here are the last 3 Screenshots
SurrogateListener.php.JPG
No Valid Directory.JPG

I am at a complete loss as to how there could be any duplicate files anywhere, as I deleted everything that needed to be deleted prior to uploading.
The date on the 'Old' files just add to the confusion.

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

Well. I have found my way around FileZilla enough to do the upload. I had about ten notifications of duplicate files on the server which I took screenshots of. I also took screenshots of the upgrade stages. These are shown below. There were also 2 duplicate notifications for the ACP, before I though...

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

Its all looking very strange ???
Using FileZilla, every folder on my host has a big black question mark on it, and individual php files etc, are not showing at all.

I have not done anything yet, just left it all as it is.
I have never seen this before.

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

I have just gone through the whole process again but this time there has been something new. At the final stages of uploading the last folder, the vendor folder, I got this message pop up ? The remote folder already contains a folder named 'Exception' I instructed to overwrite. I have never seen thi...

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

I contacted my Host to explain the situation to them and asked them to purge the cache if needed. My support ticket got elevated to Third Level, and I am still waiting to hear back.
As soon as I hear I will post the details here.

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

On my previous two attempts at updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 I have deleted the files as shown in the attachment, and then used CUTE FTP to upload/overwrite my php forum files. These two attepts failed ? This time I deleted all of the unwanted files on the server, and then uploaded the new files. Sti...

Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

I have to apologize for the large error log that I have posted below. But I do not know what is relevant, and what is not, so I have posted the lot. Uploading the full package using the instructions shown in the attachment, all seemed to go well, and I got confirmation that the database had been upd...
