Re: Forum under attack? Suddenly there is nothing.

Hmmm ... thanks Ric. Yes, you got it right ... for some reason the outputting was stopped in the overall header, just after the image map. Since I have posted the first post, I did contact my host as well, and probably they are working on this. Because I see that I'm having an error now, which was n...

Forum under attack? Suddenly there is nothing.

Hi friends

Everything was ok when I went to lunch ... just after lunch when I opened one forum, there was nothing left, apart from a few blocks.

Here is the link => http://www.indiansinfrance.com/forum/

Any tips, friends?

Cheers.

Re: [2.0.20] UploadPic

All other features are "maintaining pictures"-features (albums, etc.) and will *not* to be added as UploadPic is "just" an uploading-MOD :) Of course, for uploading pictures this is possibly one of the best mod, if not the best (only for pictures) out there. Full marks to you. I was thinking that a...

Re: [2.0.20] UploadPic

A great mod, and thanks a lot for working on and releasing this to the public. A few possible add-ons to this mod. 1. Users who are uploading images, can be given a link to delete / replace an image once uploaded. 2. There can be a link of user's album in the viewprofile page. 3. User's can be allow...

Re: Having a few problems to edit profile ... any tips please?

well, you are not fixing anything by blocking the error message. Yes, I agree Robert I'm just finding an workaround ...  But also, how can I think that the SEO mod is the culprit here, since it has worked for months with that mod without any problem ... yes, I also couldn't find whe...

Re: Having a few problems to edit profile ... any tips please?

Finally I solved (!!! :roll: !!!) this issue by quoting out (/* ... */) the following portion ... /*if ( $mode == 'editprofile' ) { if ( $user_id != $userdata['user_id'] ) { $error = TRUE; $error_msg = $lang['Wrong_Profile']; } } */ Couldn't find the exact error though ... also, while new registrati...

Re: Having a few problems to edit profile ... any tips please?

Hi Robert Thanks for the suggestion, actually I thought also in the line but then again, it was working well for months without any problem. Among the major changes that I can think about, 2 / 3 days ago I upgraded my php from 4.4.4 to 4.4.8 ... and the problems started during the same time. Not sur...

Having a few problems to edit profile ... any tips please?

Well guys I am not sure why, but suddenly me or any of my members are not able to edit their profile. Probably this is due to some mod that I installed, but i'm unable to figure out what. The moment we are in the page forum/profile.php?mode=editprofile, the message You cannot modify a profile that i...

Re: A seperate forum for each usergroup, is there any such mod?

Hi dellsystem

That sounds something like what I'm looking for. Why not, surely I would like to have a look at it. Is it in the mod development section?

Thanks for your time :)

Default "notify me of replies" On

Thanks for validating, Paul.

It's a simple one liner, that will change default "notify me" value from OFF to ON. Very useful for new forum owners, and this mod, I hope, will increase the number of your returning visitors.

Cheers.

Re: A seperate forum for each usergroup, is there any such mod?

Thanks Robert ... well, you know how the members are, most remain inactive for most of the time, and now if I change the interface, I will loose many of them, as people generally don't like a total relooking of a website. They are obliged by their habit. So, i don't want to offer them a complete new...

Re: A seperate forum for each usergroup, is there any such mod?

Hmmm ... i didn't know all that earlier, and started with phpbb. Now I have learned a bit how the phpbb works, and how they are coded, I have started to understand that. Also, I've more than 200 members and close to 2500 posts ... how can I manage all these if I change everything now ... :rol...

Re: [05/02/07] Profile guestbook

OK, after much search, I think the problem of redirection is clear now. The problem is apparently coming because of the class file, where all the codes are bundled together, including the redirection. So, when we call the redirection, the page header is already called by that time. Hence, the error ...

Re: A seperate forum for each usergroup, is there any such mod?

Yeah Robert, you got it right. I am working on to modify my phpbb in a way that I can compete with social networks like Facebook and Orkut. Actually, I found that the phpbb is very close to being something better than them, on a small scale if we can fine tune certain things. As many users today are...
