"Guest" users cannot search

I noticed that trying to use the search feature in my board (3.2.2) doesn't work unless you're logged in. Well, it "works", but doesn't return any found items. I checked the group permissions and Guests are allowed to search. Any other reason anonymous visitors (Guests) couldn't search my forum? TIA,

Perfect! :D

Thank you very much.

I bookmarked your prefect answer as I'm sure I'll need it again. :)

How to create separate forum breakouts

I've been scratching my head about this and have tried multiple approaches, but all my forums are beneath a sing'e Forum heading. I've tried to create a new forum with no parent. Did not copy permissions. Set permissions manually, but when I submit, the forum is still beneath the others -- even afte...

Re: Who is logged in?

Just asking if there's a way to determine which specific users are actually logged in when you see on the main page that "5 users are logged in."

Which 5 users?

Thanks,

Who is logged in?

As administrator, plus access to the phpBB MySQL DB, how can I get a list of who is actually logged in?

The user table doesn't seem to have a field like "isLoggedIn" or something obvious like that, but perhaps I missed it.

Thanks much.

User reports error in contactadmin

On the new 3.2.2 board I have up, clicking the "contactadmin" link as in: https://<site_url>/memberlist.php?mode=contactadmin gives me, which is reproducible: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare smtpmail() (previously declared in /.../includes/functions_messenger.php:1022) in /...l/includes/functions_mess...

Re: File size too large (after setting file size)

I probably didn't need to create a separate PDF group, but I wanted to just enable '.pdf'.

The "File Too Large", which was the point of my posting appears to have been that the main attachment settings overrides everything. Once I "upped" that, the PDF uploaded fine.

Thanks

File size too large (after setting file size)

I created a PDF extension and set the size to 1 MB (also tried 1,000 KiB). Then, clicked submit. Success. Yet, when I try to upload just a 467 KB PDF to a posting, I get the error that the file size is too large. In the other screen, I set the "pdf" file type to be this new "PDF" extension group. Ho...

Re: User cannot "compose" private message

All,

Not getting any spam at all.

The reason for the immense response and join rate is that the old listserve was the recruiting method.

Thanks.

Re: User cannot "compose" private message

I see. I think I was confused. Since I don't have the "newly created users" in any forum security groups, I had believed that those settings would not apply. However, what you are saying makes total sense since as another user who has posted several times, works fine with compose. I guess the error ...

User cannot "compose" private message

Unexpected error below. 1. I do not have recently added users to the permissions and Registered Users have "full access". 2. I also have that all users can send private messages, when I test one of the users with a compose private message, I get this: Compose message We are sorry, but you are not au...

Re: [RC] Digests 3.2.6

I tried to install this extension in a brand new 3.2.2 phpBB, but when I went to enable it (in customize->Manage extensions), I got this: Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to phpbbservices\digests\core\common::__construct() must be an instance of phpbb\language\language, none given, called in...
