Re: Issue with a Forum Section

When you made the sections instead of type: category you did type: forum Just edit the forum and change that. You have category>forum>forum>forum instead of category>category>category>forum All this while I never knew I wasn't doing the right thing..... Thank you so much! My topic can now be marked...

Ah I think it's because you have stacked subforums so that button and text are for people to post in the forum they're in but in fact you're using that to stack other subforums within it.

You would probably need a styles person to show you how to hide that.
Please, how do you mean by this??

Re: Issue with a Forum Section

^^^ That's default behaviour for forums inside a category. In your first post that's default behaviour for subforums inside another forum. I think this not right, I'm a bit confused! Take a look at the phpBB community: (https://www.phpbb.com/community/), here they are all categories and in these ca...

It's a group forum permission

Can use topic/post icons

Set the registered users group to NO for the forums you want
Set the groups you want to YES for the forums you want
Thank you for your reply! But I can't find "Can use topic/post icons"

Request an extension
Just the way it is in phpBB community, Do I need an extension for this? I mean all topic icons, not a particular topic icon!

Disabling Topic Icons to Specific User Groups

How can I disable topic icons to some user groups like registered users (eg. they can't see/use topic icons) but enable them to other user groups like Administrators and Moderators (eg. they can see/use topic icons)?

Meaning they restricted the ability to set any topic icon, not just specifically the "solved" topic icon.
I thought there is a way of restricting only the "solved" topic icon excluding other topic icons, seems that's not possible?

the instructions in the topic you linked to do not have any good way of making apply only for admins/mods.

this extension can do that for you and has nothing to do with the normal topic icons system.

This extension is not an option, It doesn't work on my board! Any other way out?

Re: Issue with a Forum Section

. the reason you do not see a new topic button is because you do not have permission to start new topics in that forum. The New Topic icon used to be there until I removed it by the reply giving to me by eeji Open viewforum_body.html Find: <!-- IF S_DISPLAY_POST_INFO or .pagination or TOTAL_POSTS o...
