Re: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.

nope, I just clicked on the link in your sig file which is to http and it took me to http not https.
clearing the cache in cloudfare is not the issue. turn cloudfare off and then clear your cache in your browser and then test.

Re: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.

Thanks for your response. The forum cookies URL is: forum. is there any need of putting a dot before the forum (.forum.)? and the Cookies name is: phpbb3_j2lwq4 ? is there anything wrong? On my Cloudflare > Crypto > Always use HTTPS, I have enabled this option. Is there any other need to also add t...

Re: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.

ok, first, put a dot in front of the cookie domain then, since you are using cloudfare ssl you really need to set cookie secure to yes and add the bit to the htaccess file that redirects all http requests to https. that could be the problem. that is providing that you really mean you are being logge...

Re: [3.1][3.2][RC] Obscure Registration Code (SPAM stopper)

this sounds like a really good extension. I have not tested it because I don't have bot registration problem on any of my boards. I use the Q&A with a good question and it so far has stopped all bot registration attempts. I have also used a simple version of this extension with great success in the ...

Re: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.

it does not "log you out" when you are trying to access the admin panel. it is supposed to ask you to reauthenticate before accessing the admin panel. if you have to do it more than once then there is something wrong with your cookies etc. how about a link to the board so we can test things for you....

Re: To administer the board you must re-authenticate yourself.

it is not logging you out. that is a normal security feature of phpbb. you have log into the admin panel even if you are already logged into the board.

this has been standard since phpbb 3 started I believe.

Re: Deleted user posts retain their username

unless someone is using their real name when registering why would anyone worry about being identified when posting on a bulletin board? if your board is about sensitive issues then nobody should use a real name when registering etc. so, the fact that their username stays on a post should not make t...

Re: New Posts since last visit

also, disabling an extension does not lose any settings for that extension. it just disables it so you can see if the board is working properly without it. once you have done the testing and you have enabled them all again, any data that was associated with the extension is still there with no probl...

Re: Can't post on windows install - HTTP ERROR 500

did you look at the php error log to see what is causing the error?
did you reboot the server after making any changes to php versions etc.?

your board was a little slow to load initially, like about 3 seconds. however once loaded everthing I clicked on loaded instantly.
viewing forums, topics etc. etc.

Re: Automatic email to replier when reaction on reply

not sure I understand what you are wanting. when you are subscribed to a forum/topic and you have your notifications set to email you will already get an email. if you are the one that made the reply why would you need an email telling you that you made a reply? it you mean something else please exp...

Re: Unable to Upgrade from 3.1.9 to 3.2.2

yes , those instructions are correct. you use the full package, not the update package. you delete all the old files except for the three folders and config.php file from the server. you don't have to worry about deleting the folders from the upload but it doesn't hurt. you do have to delete the bla...

Re: Users with identical permissions: one sees no topics, others see all topics in same forum.

to start with, you should not use user permissions. you should always use group permissions and group forum permissions. that will make things much easier to control and to figure out. make sure that every member including you are in the registered user group and that the registered usergroup has pe...

Re: Marketplace extension

like I said, much quicker and simpler to just add a marketplace/classifed script to your site. link it to phpbb if you have a reason to discuss things at your marketplace. that is how most people do it to begin with and it seems to work much better that way.

luck,
robert
