any smilies other than the ones that show on the posting form can be seen in a popup that is linked right below the smilies box.

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

wrong conclusion. whatever the problem is , is not with phpbb since it works just fine for thousands and thousands of others. so, we have to figure out what is going on with your situation. one thought I had was maybe you are deleting the wrong set of files. do you have two sets of phpbb files on th...

Re: i've problem with customizing navigation bar( does't change?)

ah, now I understand. you should have no reason to edit the php files when you want to add something to a page.

Re: Can't login on localhost

I know, that is why I brought it up. in most cases people don't call it localhost when they are talking about their hosting account. EA117 was giving advice based on the assumption that the OP was talking about his installation on his computer. that is why I wanted to be sure we were NOT talking abo...

Re: i've problem with customizing navigation bar( does't change?)

I see several things that don't look right when I look at your prosilver code. I would suggest that you delete prosilver from the ftp and upload a new copy. also, in your admin panel, on the general tab, on the left menu at the bottom, find load settings and click on it. on that page find the recomp...

Re: Problem updating from 3.2.5 to 3.2.7 using full package.

personally I always have my ftp to overwrite without telling me so I don't know what those messages are about.

the last two images are perfectly normal. that is what they both should say and show that the database update was successful.

just for grins. try filezilla. drag and drop all of the files/folders that you are transferring at once.

I want to know what "old dear friendly" is.
I believe that would be links that people like you and me and several others here that are "old dears", might not find friendly.

don't you feel like an "old dear" sometimes?

we are also assuming that by "localhost" you mean on your personal computer and not a hosting account with a hosting company.

Re: Best practice for creating test installation

testing the update is of little value because doing it for real won't be any different because you tested it. it is usually trouble free as long as you follow the instructions exactly and in order and as long as you use the full package and not the auto update. you simply replace all the old files w...

you probably have cloudfare or some other caching system setup on your hosting control panel

turn it off or purge it or whatever,

you also have hellohellohello at the very top of the page.

how about a link to your board so we can test things. and yes, in most cases the smf would be simple machines forum.] also, if you have a smf board and a phpbb board you would have to be sure that there is a latte style for both and if there is, that you have not confused them. also, you have to be ...

3.2.1 to 3.2.5 update error

unless for some reason you are editing core files you should not be using the autoupdate method.

try again using the method here: Knowledge Base - Updating 3.2.x

follow those instructions exactly and in order and you should be fine.
