Re: Steam Login

I thought maybe it is like steaming open a letter in the old days. you would hold your keyboard over a steaming pot of water or something to be able to log in? :?:
sorry,

Re: Need help recovering our phpBB Site

you are correct. it is their server and mostly their files since they installed wp for you. 'and certainly any hacks that are getting past the server security it is up to them to secure their servers. you may need to take the loss and get a new host. be SURE that you get a database backup of the php...

the only thing I can think of is the migration files in the "store" folder.

next time you try, make sure there are no migration files in that folder before you start.
and delete the io lock file from the store folder as well.

Re: i trying to hide BBcode

you can't. there is not really a good wysiwyg editor that works well in phpbb, there never has been. people are constantly working on one but so far there is not one that officially works corectly. once again, in you will explain exactlyl what you are trying to do, we can probably help you get it do...

Re: Upgrading from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 Updating Files never get passed 3%

are you sure you have the correct download from here? the full package and not the auto update package. are you sure that you replaced all your old files with the new ones? are you sure that the folder named install is from the full package ? it should not be doing that at all if you have done all o...

Re: Upgrading from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 Updating Files never get passed 3%

if you have replaced all of the files with the new ones from the full package then it should not be trying to update the files at all. you upload all new files except for the config.php file. you go to the install folder you choose update you choose update again you choose update database only wait ...

Re: Embed website

please explain better exactly what you are trying to do.
short answer is that you don't "embed" a website inside a phpbb board.
so, depending on what you mean by this, we can maybe help you if you explain it to us.
details please.

Re: Need help recovering our phpBB Site

if there is something on your server that is reinfecting the files you will have to solve that before you can fix this. there is nothing in phpbb that would be doing this. it sounds more like a problem with the hosting company files. a few years ago there was a lot of this happening because the serv...

I really don't know why they haven't removed the auto update as the suggested method. nobody is suggesting it any more.
here is the suggested method for updating now:

Re: i trying to hide BBcode

you can't use html in a post. it is a security risk and the software does not allow it.
maybe is you explained exactly what you are trying to and not how you think it should be done, we could help you do it.,

Re: Error Data too long for column 'poll_title' at row 1 after upgrade

or, you could just change the max characters for the title field in the template file; I think this would work: posting_poll_body.html look for this: <dd><input type="text" name="poll_title" id="poll_title" maxlength="255" value="{POLL_TITLE}" class="inputbox" /></dd> change the maxlength to a highe...

congrats. sounds like you had a really good time.
now, what are you going to do when it is time for the next update? are you going to go back through all those files and find the new code again?

Re: Need help recovering our phpBB Site

based on the link you provided that loaded wp, there is nothing there but a brand new blank install. I would assume that you did not even have a wp blog before your host installed it for you for some reason. when you contact your host, ask for level two support. I have a feeling whoever you dealt wi...
