Re: Problem uploading pdf attachment (size limit issue?)

500KB is not very much difference and the problem could be how the numbers are interpreted.

Re: Private group

it is not a windows program. you do not install it on your computer. you have to have a domain name and a hosting account. once you have that, you will need a ftp program that allows you to upload/download files from your computer to the hosting account. you download phpbb from here. you unzip it on...

Re: How to make External Page Slider ?

what is a recent topics external page slider?

whatever it is, you will most likely need to make a request for an extension in the extension request forum.
be sure to explain exactly what it is, what your purpose for it is, etc., so that you get some help.

Re: How to update a style?

updating from 3.1 to 3.2 is a major undertaking, not suggested. updating from 3.1.2 to 3.1.12 is not that hard, just time consuming. however, if you want to update to 3.2 then you need to get a new 3.2 style and use it. find one that is close to what you have and tweak it if needed. what style are y...

this is what you currently have which is the default except for the file name of the logo. stylesheet.css: .site_logo { background-image: url("./images/TransgenderCommunitiesHeader.jpg"); padding-left: 750px; padding-top: 150px; margin-left: -10px; common.css .site_logo { display: inline-block; widt...

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

assuming that you are in the EU you would need to contact someone who is an expert on this new law in the EU.
phpbb may or may not have to make any changes in order to be in compliance.

if you are not in the EU then you simply do not have to worry about it in my opinion.

btw there is no MCP link probably because there is no forum on index page
this is what I was talking about earlier . there is no MCP link on a page unless there is a forum or a topic on the page.

Re: Categories and forums not showing on index

the MCP would not show up in that spot. you don't see any forums because you don't have permissions to see them. go to the admin panel users and groups. look up your username, in the drop down select groups. make sure you are in the registered user group, the admin group and the global moderator gro...

Re: Failing upgrading from 3.2.0 to 3.2.2

it most likelly has not hurt your database. you just need to get it to finish the update. make sure your config.php file says mysqli instead of mysql. do that and purge the cache by deleting the install and the production folder from the cache folder. also , delete any of the migration files from th...

Re: Error 28 of death

your host is who you pay money to each month for your website/forum. you go to their website and log into your account and click on the support button and tell them about the error message. they are going to want to charge you more money for a bigger hosting package. maybe if you gave us a link to y...

Re: Error 28 of death

I think maybe you are confused about how this works. that message is from your host. phpbb.com is not your host. phpbb.com is the company that created the phpbb software that you have installed on your web hosting account. that message is telling you that you have run out of disk space in your hosti...

Re: changing domains for an existing install

all you have to do is change the dns for the sponsorshat.com to the same hosting company that you have for the sponsor.chat then, you can put in a 3.1 redirect from sponsor.chat to sponsorchat.com once that is all done and propogated you can change the cookie domain in your board back to sponsorchat...
