Re: Social Network Extension for 3.2?

There was a MOD for phpBB: http://phpbbsocialnetwork.com/ Maybe someone can convert this to an ext.. just a quick glance but it looks like that would still work on phpbb 3.2.3 there are only a couple of file edits and then copy the MOD files over. the database edits are only added tables, no change...

Re: Control of Apperance

ok, lets try again. example: you click on the index.php file, here is what happens. the code in the index.php file tells the board to call the overall_header.html file, the index_body.html file, the forumlist_body.html and the overall_footer.html file It also calls all of the data from the database ...

Re: Control of Apperance

of course. phpbb is a set of php scripts .php files. look at the urls of any page in phpbb. it is a php file. as I said above. those php files call the proper templates and the proper data from the database and compiles them on the fly and presents the final product to your browser . also, just to b...

Re: reCaptcha v2 thinks it's v1?

probably the main problem is that you can't use a style for phpbb 3.1.1 in 3.2.2 or 3.2.3

best bet is to choose a different style that works with 3.2.2 or 3.2.3

Re: Users forcibly logged out when visiting pages. Mods also logged out when doing tasks.

you apparently do not have the SSL setup correctly. your domain name is not secure according to my browser and my test script.
however, you do have cookie secure set to yes. that is what is causing your logout problems.

if it is just traffic then why do you care? if they are not registering and/or not posting, what difference does it make if they are visiting your site ?

Re: Generate data from phpbb_search_wordmatch table

you can go into your admin panel and delete the current search index and then rerun it. depending on the size of the board this could take hours to complete. just let it run until it is finished. not sure why you would even be messing with the search tables in the database to do a update but hey, th...

Re: Moderatorpanel link not showing everywhere?

there is no need for the moderator control panel to show on any page that you can not moderate anything on. therefore, the link is not available on those pages. I am not positive but I think it was the same in 3.0

anyway, this is normal so nothing to worry about.

Re: Control of Apperance

no, the templates are only for the layout and overall look of the pages. only the data ( post text etc. ) is placed and kept in the database. (mysql is just a type of database ). when you click on a link to view a post the php script will call the correct html templates to create the view post page....

Re: Partial conversion from 3.0.x to 3.2.1

you can NOT install tapatalk for 3.0 on a 3.2 board. if you did then you will have other problems.

personally I would simply remove all parts of tapatalk since you don't need it anyway. phpbb 3.1> is already responsive and that was the main purpose of tapatalk to begin with.

I can confirm that this happens with 3.2.3 in prosilver.

you have to get the screen size very small, smaller than any phone is I think.

Re: [Split] Extension for - Friendly URL ?

you can certainly do as you please but I seriously doubt that any other bulletin board software is any better with seo than any other bulletin board software. the trick for good seo is mainly good content. after that, you look at the standard things like keywords ( related to good content naturally ...

Re: Partial conversion from 3.0.x to 3.2.1

you need to remove those modules from the admin panel system tab, last section on the left. module management/admin panel find and remove the mobiqo thing and any other strange looking titles with underbars in them. some times you have to drill down a few levels to actually find the bad one. robert

Re: updating from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3 major error

the file replacement method is the simple way to do it.

you just replace all the old files with new ones except for the few mentioned. then run the database update and you are done.
