Re: h2o - Seeking for help

first, you could undo whatever "modifying" you were doing to whatever extension you were working on.
replace it with the original from the zip file.

HI, welcome to phpbb.com please provide a little more info so we can help you. what version of phpbb? what style is that? what is that eye dropper bbcode? that is not part of standard phpbb and , what is the exact html replacement you have used when you created the custom center bbcode? also, what e...

Re: not possible to use any up-to-date PHP 7 version - missing module?

as you say, it is not anything to do with phpbb. It is a server setup problem and if they can't figure it out you need to change hosting. we can't help you point them in the right direction because we are not server setup/php setup experts, they are supposed to know how to setup their server program...

Re: Mailing list for new phpBB board releases (updates and upgrades)

I agree that having the check mark there is confusing and should be changed. as for changing the email address, since this has nothing to do with your board you would need to change the email address you have in your profile here at phpbb.com.

luck,

Re: Update gone wrong? - "The installer detected a timeout"

how did you make those changes to the header etc.? if you edited prosilver then you will have to do them again. however, you should not be editing prosilver directly. you can either use a custom style or create your own custom style by making a copy of prosilver and renaming it. as to your "mods" be...

Re: Update gone wrong? - "The installer detected a timeout"

there is no way in the update process that the database can be deleted. the only way a database can be deleted is by you or your host deleting it on purpose. contact your host. also, the very first instruction in how to update says to make backups of the files and the database. did you do that? if s...

Re: Mailing list for new phpBB board releases (updates and upgrades)

you have to be actually viewing a forum page, not the index page.
click here: viewforum.php?f=14
look at the bottom of that page.

Re: Update gone wrong? - "The installer detected a timeout"

the error is tellling you that the table does not exist. it is looking for the table bb_config check your database using phpmyadmin from your hosting control panel. make sure that the table prefix is correct in your config.php file. you currently have that set to bb_ see what the actual table prefix...

Re: Upgrade 3..2.2 from 3.2.0

if disabling extensions is causing a problem then don't worry about doing it before you update. going from 3.2.0 to 3.2.2 should be very quick and straight forward. you download the full package, unzip it to your computer. you upload all the files except for the config.php file to overwrite/merge wi...

Re: Changing names of items in navbar header

use ftp, go to the languages folder, pick your language, most of the time it will be the common.php file. only use a good text editor. not word, not dreamweaver etc. a text editor only. find the relevant listing, they are alphabetical, in the case of the private message one it would be this line: 'P...

Re: we_clearblue to 3.2.2 ?

TT90:
ok he is right. so the way to fix this is to open the content.css file of the we_clearblue theme folder.

add this to it at the bottom:

Code: Select all

ul.topiclist li.row dd {
    padding: 0px !important;
    margin-bottom: -995px;
}
I will fix the copy in the upload.

Re: we_clearblue to 3.2.2 ?

that is surprising. that is the line in prosilver's content.css that it is pulling.
have no idea why that line is in prosilver content.css for 3.2.2 when it is not in 3.2.1 or 3.1.x etc.

Re: we_clearblue to 3.2.2 ?

it doesn't look like that on my test board but it does have some problems. let me look at it. I would suggest that since it has some problems that you find a different style that works. what is it about this style that you like ? we can probably find a better one for 3.2 robert EDIT: ok, I just did ...

Re: DDOS attack on board

very strange but it still boils down to a problem with the security setup on the server which is your host's concern. If they are not setup to stop a ddos then I would seriously look for a different host.

Re: PHPbb 3.2 doesnot accept paragraphs

would that not indent all the text equally instead of only the first line? nope well, it doesn't work at all in my custom style. have no idea why. it also does not work very well in prosilver. It indents the first line when you start typing. however, it does not indent the first line of the next pa...
