Re: how to mobe "Global Announcements" to the top of the page

switch it back to prosilver and see what it looks like. that is the point he was making. your style ( not theme) is called custom if I remember correctly. and by the way, you still have some type of redirect that is keeping anyone from accessing your style files. when I try to go here: https://www.s...

Re: Help with template, resize banner and add menu

this style is still in beta and should only be used for testing.
for any problems or questions you should be asking the author of the style.
I have already informed him about the problem with the banner not being responsive.

you have to be patient, he is working on it.

Re: How to edit templates?

if you need to edit any files other than those in the prosilver_se template folder you have to edit those files in the prosilver template folder. robert Or copy them to prosilver_se and edit them. I would think this would be preferred as an update may overwrite the changes made to the prosilver fil...

Re: clicking extension tab shows "websitename.com is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500"

you need to check your hosting control panel and find the error logs. if you can't find them, contact your host and ask them where they are. at the very least you need to see the last 20 or so entries in the error log file so that you can find out what is causing the 500 error. it is quite often a p...

Re: SQL Table phpbb3_log and log_time

well, you do what you wish of course. but as we have been telling you , choose a different host than godaddy . you will be very likely to have other problems that will be very hard to solve if you use godaddy. there are plenty of inexpensive hosts out there. check out http://webhostingtalk.com luck,...

Re: Users Banned Need Help Bad

remove the bans that you set. purge the cache and check again. you probably made some type of mistake when you put in the ips or the domain names etc. also, it does no good to ban anyone by IP address. they will just get a new IP address the next time they reboot their router or for many other reaso...

Re: How to edit templates?

main page of the admin panel. button about half way down. if you are doing a lot of template work it would be much easier if you did not have to purge the cache after each edit. admin panel, on the left side at the bottom click on the "load settings" link. on that page about 2/3 of the way down you ...

Re: 3.2 Fresh Install - Constant Errors

........ Robert, my issue with my old .sql backup is it doesnt have a phpbb_users directory. I guess this was lost? how did you determine that it does not have the users table? did you actually open the sql file in a text editor and go throught it or did you import it to a new database and view it ...

Re: SQL Table phpbb3_log and log_time

That'd be committing the whole $120 to that one site, wouldn't it? Or the server is mine and could host all my sites on it? I know nothing of VPS. Good deal or bad, I don't know. Happy to learn. What exactly do they give you? Right now I spend about $50 or $60 and I get about 15-20 sites hosted for...

almost any amount of money is a better deal than godaddy hosting.

do a search here for godaddy and see what comes up.

sounds very logical. I did not think of that type of use.

there is an extension that when you hover over the topic title, will show a ssmall popup with part of the post so you can make that type of decision.

in your example, the person who put that info in the public domain should and does have the right to go back and either delete it or ask the board owner to delete it for them. however, it is not/should not be the board owner's responsibility , it should be the poster's responsibility to take care of...

I believe it is just a "figure of speech" to say to even think about hosting your board yourself. that way. however, apparently none or not much of that resume prepares you for what you are talking about trying to do. I have known a lot if IT people that don't have a clue about anything to do with t...

Re: New GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and phpBB

I agree with the above about if you post it in a public forum then you lose the right to call it private information. what happened to personal responsibility for your actions. if you are not smart enough to understand that posting in a public forum makes your info public then it is not the forum's ...

how about a link to your board so we can see what you are doing.

also a link to the actual logo image you are trying to use.
