Re: Lost Ability To Make Sticky and Announcement

Edit: I just looked and my moderative permissions are all red. Do I need to be in the moderator group to change this? I have no idea what changed my settings. There's no need for you to be in the Moderator group, normally as Administrator you should have full access. (but I'll have a quick look at ...

Re: Possible change text color?

on again you are being very rude. nobody has been rude to you. if you want help you have to answer questions we ask you, you have to be specific with your answers/information so that we can help you. you also have to follow the rules here about where to post what questions. if you had a question abo...

Re: Lost Ability To Make Sticky and Announcement

you should never remove anyone from the registered user group. every registered user should be in that group. then, if you are wanting to add subract permissions you do that with other groups. like he said above, you use the permission masks to figure out where the wrong permission is coming from. i...

Re: newsletter in html

since html email in phpbb is a security risk you are not likely to get one anytime soon. I would suggest you simply download a mailing list from your database and use it in whatever email/newsletter software you have for this. it will work much better and give you a lot more options than anything yo...

Re: Creating posts without approval from my IP address

sorry but you are simply making no sense about what you are trying to accomplish and why. you really should not let guests post at all, with or without approval. I have no idea what you are trying to say about only people from your IP being able to post without approval. there is no need to set anyt...

Re: SEO friendly URL

don't hold your breath for this. I read that article you linked. it is a lot different from other official google posts on the subject. what this article says is what goolge used to say before they figured out how to crawl and list dynamic web sites like phpbb etc. I couldn't find a date on that art...

Re: Prevent directory listing with redirect

for the root of the board, there is no index.htm file there is only the index.php file as long as that file is where it belongs, nobody will ever see your directory listing for the board. most, if not all, of the rest of the directories have a index.htm file to keep visitors from seeing the director...

Re: Acitve Account Error

that php version should work just fine.
php 7.3 may not even be officially released yet. not sure.
however, phpbb is not setup to work on it yet as far as I know.

so, stick with php 5.6.x and you will be fine.

Re: Acitve Account Error

just go to yourdomain.com/yourphpbb/install

do not put the app.php after it.
then click on the update tab. then click on the update button, then click on update database only.

and you will need to explain a little better what you are trying to accomplish. voters and participants are the same. you can probably change the actual text in the corresponding language file. not sure what you mean by a percentage. percentage of what? the options are what the voters choosed betwee...

Re: Acitve Account Error

glad you got it sorted out. however, if the install folder is still there it will usually give you a screen that tells you to remove it or the board won't work. also, just to keep in mind; all of the users/forums/posts etc. are in the database. unless you or somebody specifically delete the database...

Re: phpBB 3.2.3 Forcing Reauthentication Every Post

what kind of redirect do you have going on. my test program says something about a 3.1 redirect and it is apparently not working right.
that would mean that your cookie settings are not right so that affects login etc.

Re: I need my admin Reset

therein lies your problem. this is a normal problem with the host installed versions of phpbb. they do not use the same files you get here. your best bet is to download the correct files from here ( download button above ). then replace all the files you have with the ones in the zip file you downlo...

Re: Prevent directory listing with redirect

ok, as long as you have a file named index in the forum root, nobody can see the file listing at all. you can have index.php or index.htm or index.html phpbb comes with index.php only. you almost never need to make any changes for this to work properly. if it does what you say then you need to undo ...
