Re: Incomplete Update to 3.2.3

no. you need to disable that extension. deleting the folder will cause more problems.

either disable them all with the php file or go to the database using phpmyadmin and find the ext table and find that extension and set it to 0 instead of 1

that is in the overall_footer.html file of your style. you download that file to your computer and open it in a text editor only. then follow the instructions that say just above the </body> tag. the save the file and upload b ack to the server. be sure to purge cache after you do this. the help lin...

Re: Incomplete Update to 3.2.3

that is what it means by incomplete. make sure your config.php file has mysqli instead of mysql follow these instructions exactly and in order and it should complete properly: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.2/kb/article/updating-32x/ in the future, those are the proper instructions for upda...

Re: Using Google's reCapatcha in phpBB

not the point. the captcha is used when registering. that is not the same thing as accessing an account that is already in place.

once you have registered there is no need for a captcha during login.

Re: Which hosting is best for PHPBB

technically there is no such thing as "wordpress hosting" or "phpbb hosting". wordpress is a database/php based program to create a blog/cms. phpbb is a database/php based program to create a bulletin board. the both require the same server setup on a host. as do many hundreds of other programs. tho...

Re: How to redirect links from YaBB to PHPBB

don't know for sure but I don't think your url for the yabb board would include the cgi-bin directory.

besides, any redirect would have to include the complete url.

Re: Transfering Domain/Host Help

you need to edit the config.php file on the new host. make sure it shows the database server, database name and database username for the new host and not the old one. also, make sure your cookie settings are correct for the new host and that you have "force server settings" to no in the admin panel...

Re: 403 Access Denied

like we said, you have to uninstall that MOD. whatever you did to install it, do that in reverse. remove any and all edits to the files and to the database. that is the only way you can get rid of it. actually, the easiest way to fix this is to replace all the edited files with new ones from the dow...

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

ok, check the database using phpmyadmin or whatever you use. make sure there is no mention of subsilver2 in any of the style/template tables also, you might want to replace the files again. delete all files from the sever except for the config.php file and the files, store, ext and images folders. t...

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

just to be clear, you should not be using the changed files unless you have been editing the core phpbb files for some reason. also, you do not do a full install. you just replace all old files with new ones except for the config.php file and a couple of folders. then you run the database update onl...

Re: Spam overkill on 3.2 board!

updating will have no effect on your spam problem. you need to setup the built in Q&A with a question that can not be googled for the answer and it will stop your spam problem.

I answered your update question in the other topic.

Re: Issue going from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3

start over and don't use the auto update method at all.

https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3 ... ating-32x/

follow those instructions exactly and in order and you should be fine.

Re: content for (donation members)?

you create a group for donators. when they make a donation you put them in that group. you create a forum that only that group has permissions to access. done. you can find that as well as a lot of other information in the phpbb documentation. you find that in the menu bar at the top of this page. r...

Re: Parent_NOT_Exist when installing forums

never saw that error before.

the other part is not an error it is just the standard text explaining what part of the update is taking place.

try this,

check your config.php file. change mysql to mysqli if it is not already done.

then try the update again.
