Re: Missing ACP and PM modules?

looks like you didn't upload all the files when you did the update.

upload all files/folders from a fresh copy of 3.2.5 except for the config.php file and the folder named install.
make a complete backup of the files from the server first.

look in your admin panel and tell us what phpbb version you are running.

there is something wrong with your files on the server. this file shows blank and shouldn't

your prosilver folder shows to be from march of 2016

Re: Problem adding files

that is an option, you do not have to use it for uploads to work.

we need you to answer all the questions asked here andr maybe give us a test account that has the permissions to upload.

screen shots of your attachment settings would help also.

Re: Permission to view profile warnings

ok, you have made your suggestion for an addition to the core. I , and others have given our opinions on your suggestion. you have given your opinion on why you think we are wrong. now, my suggestion is that you move over to the extension request forum and try it there. my last opinion on this subje...

Re: Permission to view profile warnings

if that was the case , this forum would not be here. the Ideas forum was created specifically for this purpose. the Idea you have presented is not getting much support because most people would consider it a very big privacy issue. why would the creators of phpbb make a change to the core based on j...

Re: 3.2 Style Help

what do you consider "just the basics"? the way phpbb works in responsive mode is exactly what you are asking for. it removes certain things that are not needed on the page, it moves certain things so that it works better on a phone, it reduces image sizes etc. what else can it do for you? you are n...

Re: Error loading page

the best way is the complete file replacement except for those listed in the link given above. you do not need acp access at all to do a update. all you need is ftp access to backup all your files and phpmyadmin to backup your database. then you need ftp to delete all the files/folders except those ...

Re: 3.2 Style Help

what style is it that you are using now. any decent style will switch to responsive when being viewed in a phone etc. and normally , any extension will adjust for phones etc. as well If you can be more specific about what the problems are we can probably offer some advice about how to solve them. ro...

Thanks Lumpy Burgertushie
from reading your post I think I'll stick with what came with phpbb

Thanks
that is what came with phpbb. the Q&A is one of the standard anti spam choices in your admin panel.

just follow the instructions and you will be fine.

Re: How to change registering question

in the admin panel under anti spambot section you will find the drop down that includes the Q&A that is where you put your question and answer. however, do not use a math question. go to google and type in "whats 49x7" you will get the correct answer in the first result. so will the registration bot...

Re: putting a banner code after the first post in a topic

you can do this with that extension mentioned above. not sure why you think you can't. anyway, If you insist on hardcoding it: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.0/kb/article/advertisements-in-phpbb3/ remember, if you are using prosilver then you will have to redo this each time you update phpb...
