Re: C c: results in a 403 Error?

Thank you. I believe they do have mod_security installed. I will inquire with them about it. I had never seen this one before and I was surprised that such a simple thing had never come up before.

C c: results in a 403 Error?

Hi all, this is a weird one (at least to me). Someone was trying to paste an email into my forum and kept getting a 403 Forbidden error when hitting post. I narrowed it down to the line that said Cc: mail@email.com. With that line in it, it 403s, however, if I put it in as C c : mail@email.com [with...

Extra Escape Characters Being Inserted In Posts

Hi all, I did a search on this, but didn't see anything. If I missed it, pointers to threads where it's been discussed would be welcome. I've just noticed on one of my forums (at current version .21) that posts are getting an escape character ("\") inserted before every quotation mark as in php codi...

I haven't tried deleting ALL the posts, just the last one or two to see what the effect of the changes were. May as well try it...nothing to lose.

Edit: Nope, no difference.

OK, a couple of things: 1) I applied RWinner's mod here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=359663&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 and with HTML enabled, things seem to work...at least the raw html in the Slashdot feed is no longer visible. 2) BUT the url bbcode tag is still visible, rather...

I'll check that out. I should mention two other things: 1) When I ckick "Newsfeed Sources," I get a blank frame on the right. 2) When I went in to edit my bot's post, copied and pasted the text into a new message, the results were exactly the same. I wonder if this has to do with 2.0.20 and if anyon...

Thanks for the suggestion. I did check again and everything -- BBCode and HTML, though HTML is disabled for the board and I have tried it both ways -- is enabled for the account. Interestingly, the Slashdot image, for instance, is enclosed within BBCode img tags and shows fine, but the BBCode URL ta...

My apologies for a shameless bump, or if this is a known issue with no fix at the moment (it's a long thread). Anyone? :)

I'm playing with this mod and it's looking like it has a lot of potential. A problem I'm hoping someone has some advice on: http://www.solomonia.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=8 The Anandtech feeds at the bottom (which don't seem to include any coding) look fine, but the Slashdot feeds (note top few post...

I see! Thank you, I never would have figured that out. Your code does indeed work perfectly. I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. I suppose IE literally puts a space in there or something, which makes sense I guess, actually.

Much obliged.

Thank you for your response...but I'm not seeing it? Do you mean literally breaking the line in the code? I don't see any difference between what I have and what you wrote, but I could easily miss it. Could you highlight one with a ****** or something?

Excuse me if I'm breaching etiquette by bumping this. No HTML gurus out there who can discern the problem at a glance? Ah well.
