then we shouldn't have gone through the trouble to actually install 2.0. Copying the whole file structure would have sufficed (+ letting the 2.0 config.php point to the correct database).
Yes. If you have the files and the database, then it is exactly the same as being "installed".

why should the 2.0 board then be installed on the same server instead of just using the database and pointing the converter to the database (with the necessary details e.g. table prefix).
Probably because there are files to copy too -- avatars and attachments and such.

Re: Can't click into any forums?

From what I understand, phpBasic assumes you have only one forum, and therefore puts all of your topics on the index page, omitting the forumlist and viewforum completely.

Re: Can't click into any forums?

It looks to me that you have some sort of extension or mod that is modifying the forum URL. If I go into a forum via one of the recent topics, the URLs are correct, but on the forumlist from the index page, "viewforum" is replaced with "index". Try disabling all of your extensions and see if the pro...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Mail to Post

My point was that using Email address alone is not a good way to identify a user, since that Email address can be easily spoofed.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Mail to Post

So if your "troublemakers" know the admin's email address they could spoof messages that would be posted as if from that admin.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Mail to Post

So anyone can mail to that mailbox and it creates a post?
Is the post anonymous, or does it post as a user?

Re: ADM Console 401 error

Yes. Under IIS, the web.config can force a 401. IIS does not use .htaccess. I would expect if it were executing the PHP, it should have used phpBB's error handling, rather than returning a blank-page 401 error. Usually, a file-permissions problem should return a 403, rather than a 401. most of the t...

Re: ADM Console 401 error

That error could be caused by the ADM folder itself having bad permissions.

The iphone xs has a width of 1125. You need to go smaller than that to get the simplest layout.

Re: Prosilver SE Fresh Install Responsive Not Working for Mobile

Your device's screen width is too wide. The responsive code is using the width of your window, not whatever device type you might be using.
