Re: More flexible permissions for parents?

Every user, including your admins, is a member of Registered Users.
You should never assign "Never" permissions to the Registered Users group, or you will be blocking yourself too.

Re: Contact form doesn't work, message can't be sent to admin

On the Email Settings page:
set "Users send email via board" to "No"
set "Hide EMail addresses" to "Yes"

Be aware the Email addresses will still show for Admin users who have permissions to Mass Email.

Re: All Text, No Style

We do not support the host one-click installs. You should be using the installer downloaded from here.

This is your personal server and you do not know what type of database is installed?

Re: Can phpBB be used as product articles?

"Forums", not "boards". "Board" is the whole.

If you wanted, you could simply have a Topic for each product, not a whole Forum.

Re: Can phpBB be used as product articles?

The problem is that each forum has its own set of permissions. Once you have 1000+ forums, you have 1000 different permissions settings for each user and group.

The contact form does not use a user's email address. It uses the address setup on the Email Settings page .

Re: No acp access

You will only see a logout button if you are logged in, and you are not. See that login link at the top? That only shows when you are not logged in.
