someone taking site down?

I think someone is intentionally bringing a site down. I first started having errors due to some reason my server provider fixed, and then started having different problems. My issue with this is, this site has run for months and months with no problems, but now two problems in one day? The reason I...

Undo deleted messages???

Is there a way to recover or undo deleted messages? Please list any and all ways any of you know... I know think I saw a mod way back that could do it, but that likely was not after the fact. I need after the fact restoration if it can be done.

Thanks!

Re: [2.0.15] Latest active topics on index

Really you are requesting for a MOD and not so much support... anyway, all you have to do is set the permissions of each forum ( in advanced mode ) to anyone can vew , but only registerd can read . So that means guests will see new topics made, but when they click on it, they will be redirected to ...

Re: [2.0.15] Latest active topics on index

In over 2 years of trying to struggle as a non "I.T." savvy kind of phpBB board Admin, I really have had exponentially better luck getting complete or courteous help at http://www.phpbbhacks.com/forums/ Trying to deal with some issues on this site has been kinda like dealing with a Government agency.

and none of us are seeing what you are seeing on the other boards. robert Considering that the 'problem' very well could be browser related, I think that statement is not exactly accurate. The question really was about - WHAT is causing it? At this point, I have no doubt in my mind that "others" ar...

Re: Were input boxes changed?

Nope, that's not normal. And if it is happening on other sites you visit as well, then it is something that changed on your end. Well, it sure looks normal now. I am looking at the site of the guy who posted before me, and this is the third site I am noticing that has the same "problem". This is de...

Re: Were input boxes changed?

Is there some listing somewhere of "check out my site" links where people who have php sites encourage others to see and review them? It might help me if I can see what other "basic" (non ez-portal or other HTML front end) sites are looking like. This is really perplexing... Also, can you tell me wh...

Were input boxes changed?

Hello, I sure hope this is in the right place. I am having some trouble understanding how something happened/changed. Initially, I thought I made a mistake with code input on some mods, but I think we have ruled that out. What has happened is I am noticing a big change in the input boxes and some of...

Re: [2.0.18] Cash Mod

Ug.... You are not getting the error when cash mod is disabled, because the code in functions_cash is not called. Therefore, you could not have an error. In posting.php, cash_mod adds some extra code to SELECT the topic_poster, since one of the options is to pay the topic poster for any replies. Yo...

Re: [2.0.18] Cash Mod

SELECT group_id FROM phpbb_user_group WHERE user_id = AND user_pending = 0 ORDER BY group_id ASC Line : 1219 File : functions_cash.php This does not happen when Cash is off... but oddly, it DOES happen when cash is ON, yet you have rewards for posts all set to zero... Not odd at all, considering th...

Re: [2.0.18] Cash Mod

Hope this is a new one... I have installed the mod "Double post merge". Essentially, what it does is what it says- merges posts that are responses to one self within a certain time frame into one post. In a way, it is similar to the mod that prevents one from responding to self within 48 hours- but ...

Re: [2.0.15] Latest active topics on index

I have installed this mod... like it just fine, but there are some problems for me. The way the permissions in the code are set, you get two different sets of "latest topics"... The mod is coded to only see "viewable" forums at whatever level you are currently at. For example, before signing on, you...

Re: Include more info in marquee, like Category and Forum Name

Hello, I think this mod is neat. I modified it a bit to include more information in the marquee. Namely, to include the Category->Forum Name->Topic instead of just the Topic. It helps the user determine where it came from. Just wanted to share in case anyone was interested. This is my first post, s...
