Re: Login Password Problems after Upgrade 3.2.9 to 3.3.0

From 7.0 or 7.1 I think to 7.3 and back to 7.2 ... It was set at 7.3 (more than asked for) by support at Bluehost as It was not working for me from Cpanel settings (they keep fiddling with options). I did drop it lower to 7.2 in case there were problems with extensions. Update It is now back up to P...

Login Password Problems after Upgrade 3.2.9 to 3.3.0 (PHP version changes?)

Seeing quite a lot of people in the connection log having problems logging in - pasword error. I myself, as Admin, could not login after update using saved login details on Firefox. It is the first time it has happened to me and started just after the update tp 3.3.0 And manually the correct passwor...

Re: Transfer a 3.3 forum... is this still OK info >

You can usually access your old host cpanel after your domain has moved - get the latest database and import into your new site at Bluehost. I would use file manger to set up your own phpbb if possible.

Will 'official' extensions work with phpbb 3.3?

It is a lot quicker for me to ask here than set up a test board to find out... Will 'official' extensions (pages, board announcements, rules etc) work with phpbb 3.3? I cannot find any mention of official extensions working with 3.3 and under the extension filter tab there are no extensions listed a...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.3 Proteus Feature Release Published

Nice to see progress on phpbb as other free open source board systems seem to be dying out or just releasing security updates.

Bad behaviour / bug: Vote active poll, delete account, vote kept!?

I was just testing user group accounts for poll and shocked to see that a user account could be registered, then vote in an active poll and then delete the account but the vote remains. This technique could be used for false/ rigged voting. A poor system. If the account is deleted before the poll en...

Re: phpbb 3.2.7 no backup download radio button

This is the thing, that people have different ways of doing things, different backups, different software and systems Please don't assume everything is the same as yours. phpbb files can be replaced with the click of 2 fingers,so I do not need to download it every week... or my website gallery of a f...

Re: phpbb 3.2.7 no backup download radio button

I understand, and accept why it was changed. I think plain text instead of the radio button is better.

Re: phpbb 3.2.7 no backup download radio button

Maybe someone will write a mod! :P

It looks odd, that the radio button for store locally (set dafault option) is still there - serves no purpose except ambiguity.

Re: phpbb 3.2.7 no backup download radio button

Ha! I liked my backup local files on pc - download in 1 go. As it is not a big board it was handy.
Dont really want to backup then log in host and use file manager or ftp from my phone/ laptop.

phpbb 3.2.7 no backup download radio button

Database server: MySQL(i) 5.6.41-84.1 PHP version: 7.1.29 Board version: 3.2.7 Recently updated from 3.2.5 (all files) and surprised I could not see radio button to select download backup. Just not there. I can only see the store locally option? Not added any mods but may have updated a couple - not...

Re: Updating to php7

I have the same problem on Bluehost. Tried uninstalling all extensions, also back to default theme with all others deactivated - php7.0 would not work. Tried replacing all files and still not working. Other open source gallery in subfolder is fine though. Manually updated .htaccess file - line for p...

Re: Bad design or bug; Granting users 1 administrator permission allows other general permission of admin

Not much in the way of extensions that are updated recently for allowing emails sent out. One uses another email software to do it but it looks messy. I just wanted to bring it to the attention of people. This is another quirk to this. Two fields in the profile were set to hidden (accept moderators ...

Still I disagree that giving 1 Administrator permission allows other general Administrator permissions granted.
