PHPFREECHAT integration for phpBB 2.x Support here

Hi, I've successfully integrated PHPFREECHATinto my phpBB 2.x forum and I'd like to share my experiences. Step 1: Movie the cookie location in the phpBB administrator. In phpBB, log in as administrator, go to "General Admin," "Configuration," scroll down to "Cookie Settings....

Re: Upgrades, but doesn't...

I'm guessing you didn't run the update in the install folder.

With the MOD Studio you're able to create mods by having two copies of phpBB, the clean copy (i.e. unmodified), and the modded copy (i.e. the modified), and then in a diff like way it creates a mod based on whats changed. This is automated once you set it up; you just need to specifiy the two direc...

Is there a utility to generate the mod files for EasyMOD or is that a manual process? I always thought it was the latter.

Stewie Griffin: The problem is that patch releases always seem to be based on the previous release. Let's say a security problem is discovered that affects you and a patch is released. The problem depends on a previous update that you didn't bother patching. Now what? BTW, what i'd like is if there ...

have you heard of easyMOD which installs MODs for you automatically....many people that use MODs generally use that.... I've considered that but I'm a little hesitant to use a system that headlines itself with: WARNING: This is beta software. Use at your own peril! on a mission-critical system... :...

I'd also say that you should add MODs as and when you NEED them rather than adding them because someone else has them or they look neat. This man speaks the truth. Even the mods you DO want, make sure they're relatively bug free. It's rare, but try to find a provider that will allow you shell acces...

My forum was upgraded a few times and has lots of mods (attachment mod not one of them). I've had no problems upgrading. If you're not using EasyMOD to do the upgrade, you're asking for a world of trouble. BTW, some styles just aren't compliant. I struggled with Fi Black, manually entering changes. ...

Very nice! I like the improvements to allow the Admin limit the mods power and I like the improve mod check. Solved my problems perfectly! One problem I'm having. When I try to update a user's avatar through the mod cp, it ends up blanking out their avatar. I can modify it from the standard admin me...

Is there a way to save the output of the rss.php as some type of XML file. The reason I ask is because I would like to save the output and have my the code I use on my website to reference the local XML file instead of connecting to the database and running a query. Then I could create a Cron Job t...

Scratch what I said above. Much easier and doesn't require any changes to existing files except bbcode.php: // Force Word Wrapping (by TerraFrost) function word_wrap_pass($message) { $userdata['user_wordwrap'] = 70; return word_wrap_pass_manual($message, $userdata['user_wordwrap']); } function word_...

Why couldn't I do this?: function word_wrap_pass($message, $messWidth) { $userdata['user_wordwrap'] = 70; if ($messWidth == 0) { $messWidth = $userdata['user_wordwrap']; } I'd also have to do a search and replace in the rest of the function to change $userdata['user_wordwrap'] to $messWidth. Of cour...

I successfully applied this mod to custom user titles (mod). The problem is that the settings for message width are global (70 chars). Is there any way to specify a different width just for one type of string? I'm thinking about modifying the function to accept two parameters instead of just a strin...
