Re: Lock a post (it is better automatically) after moderator edit

Moderator's on my board use this functionality regularly when they edit a post for exactly the reasons the OP asked about, preventing the poster from reverting the moderator's edits. Holy cow! It is something that solves problem! I think that it is possible to alter PHP code to have that toggle alw...

Locking topics is a Moderator permission. If you have "rogue" moderators, you have a whole 'nother problem.
We have trusted moderators but some users are in conflict with moderators. We tolerate presence of such users but overruling (edits after moderator) is not accaptable ((

you can't revert to the unedited text and disapproving their post doesn't put your edited version back up instead, it would just delete it altogether.
Thanks for checking that!

But it would enable you to approve and then re-edit out the text again.

Re: Lock a post (it is better automatically) after moderator edit

You could limit the editing time in post settings so that people can only edit for, say, 24 hours. We had 2hours and 30 min limits... Now the owner decided to set it to 0 for every user and it is nightmare because of complaints... Or if they're undoing edits the mods have made...... ban them or put...

Re: Lock a post (it is better automatically) after moderator edit

Check the Lock Topic box after making the edit. I'm reading: https://wiki.phpbb.com/Lock_topic Lock topic will prevent user from posting a reply to the locked topic. That is actually not what I want. That way rogue person can "lock" active topics. We identified the problem (ourselves or b...

Lock a post (it is better automatically) after moderator edit

We have an issue with some users who revert moderator edits because we have standard time settings, allowing edits to own post for certain time. Those moderator edits remove illegal content and we don't want to worry that moderator job can be lost/reverted. Is it possible to lock the post after mode...

White/black lists for users/topics/subforums OR Advanved Quick links

Community on https://efl-forum.ru/boards tends to tolerate trolls and have broad range of topiclists / topics. The way typical user looks for new posts is by using "Quick links" => "New posts" / "Unread posts". So user gets: * a long list of topiclists / topics * posts ...
