The opposite can also be said. Just because you may have experienced an issue when updating doesn't mean that everyone else will.

There should be zero reasons to disable extensions...that's the whole point of the extension scheme.

I agree though, I'd have stuck the changes in and just updated the zips so we only have to fix a few people who already have it rather than all the ones that will need help until the next version comes out. If with "removing the error" you are thinking that the current database can be repaired; the answer is no. There is absolutely zero in this topic concerning the database. What you should do is re-update with the backup (from before the failed update attempt). Also, disable all extensions before upd...
