Thats it, ok :
http://phpbb.sourceforge.net/cvs/

But this is not what I'm looking for : it's a tgz archive repositery, I'd want to have a simple CVS repositery so that I could sync my folder whenever I want, without having to detect which archive to download, and decompress it ...

Getting phpBB2 stable via CVS ...

Hello ! I use to test every new CVS version of phpBB2 these days, but as you say on the CVS page it's very often broken and not really usable yet. Is there another CVS repositery available where stable versions stay ? I saw you provide a stable-2.0-cvs daily package and another 2.1 unstable cvs dail...

Now I know it's possible with php pages ... and HTML ?
I meen, is it possible to create zip-compressed html files that the browser would on-the-fly extract and read like the forum ? With special server-side settings, like a new file type maybe ?

True, 2037, true ... but you said in an email you sent me you were working on a new french translation for phpBB2, that would be available in the near 3 days ? For french people : En effet, cette version comporte de nombreuses maladresses de traduction ... mais une nouvelle version de la traduction ...

That's what I spoke about : with different table names, phpbb2 and phpbb1 can coexist, but the v1's data cannot be available under v2 in this case (and in the other) if you don't synchronise them ... and that's quite difficult and costs time.

I think this could be possible, if you made separate DBs ... because the 2.0 version handles db data differently than 1.X, I think you can't have v2 and v1.X at the same time, with exactly the same users and the same forums data ... but I'm not a phpbb developper ;) Another question : why do you wan...

Problems with the latest PHPBB2 CVS version ...

I got the latest phpBB 2 version by CVS : cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.phpbb.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/phpbb co phpBB2 And there is a little problem : when I use the login.php file, there is a server bug that I didn't had with 2-RC1 version. It gives me an error message when I try to login, and when ...

Avatars & Groups

The new version of phpBB is really amazing ! Of course it needs some bugfixes, but most of the work has been done, congratulations ! Now I've got two questions for you : - How to make a user be member of a private group ? - How to handle avatars ? I put all my avatars in the avatars/gallery director...
