Caching schemes mean stale data, and it won't help the connections. Each page view activates one connection to the database, and it is closed when the page is finished. More page views means more connections. Connection caching is the caching of connections not data, so the data is not stale. You j...

Connection Cache?

I'm having some issues with running into a mysql connection limit set by my host. Does phpbb have any connection caching capcity built in or via a Mod? Does it currently open a connection for each request and then drop that connection when the page is generated? If there aren't any caching capabilit...

Feel free to register on my site, try to generate the feed as a registered user and see if the errors mean anyhting to you. At least that might help us all out, if not I'll have to drop Smartfeed and go back to a basic feed again :( If you are getting the exact same error I was, it is just a matter...

There is a philosophical issue of what is the correct timestamp. With RSS and Atom I believe date/time fields per the specification are supposed to follow RFC 822, which I believe means convert the time to GMT. When showing a post as an item in a newsfeed, then the time showing there becomes a matt...

Has anyone had any luck using this mod with the Plus version of phpbb? When I click on the Generate URL button I get a few Javascript errors, mostly "object expected" stuff. EDIT: I also noticed that if I'm not logged in, it works fine. I don't know what the Plus version of phpBB is. There are many...

I've done some playing with the javascript, and I noticed that the primary problem is a syntax error on the page rendering. There is a section that looks like // //if (document.news.ip_auth[0].checked == true) { url = url + "a string value"; } The same thing happens a few lines later with the remove...

They absolutely were uploaded, I mean I was using the site when it stopped working. I clicked the button to confirm deleting a forum category and it never came back. Probably was working 10 secs before I clicked the button.

I'll upload the files and see if that fixes it.

I keep getting blank webpages

I installed phpbb a few days ago and it has been working great. Then today I was reorganizing my forum categories and I delete one. As soon as I did that my site seemed to crash. Now whenever I go to my site I can't get any pages to display. The HTML that comes back is always... <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLI...
