Re: Google reCAPTCHA not working?

phpBB doesn't really control anything related to the reCAPTCHA plugin. Google looks at whatever information it can about you (cookies, IP, visit history, etc..). As it logs more about you, it can more easily detect that you're not a bot so it doesn't have to present a challenge.

Re: Error upgrading to 3.2.1

How did you update? Did you delete the vendor folder or just let the files be overwritten? You need to delete the vendor folder and upload the new copy of it.

Re: Submit Bug

This is a known issue, which according to the ticket may be fixed in 3.2.1. The new bbcode parser is much stricter and rejects invalid uses of HTML.

Re: Upload avatars broken

If you download the file and open it with a text editor, you will notice that there's a space at the very beginning. If you remove the space, it renders fine. If you look at your page source for any of the pages on your board, you will see that there is also a leading space. Something is inserting a...

Re: Could not connect MySQL 4.1+ using the old insecure

This issue isn't specific to phpBB, so topics with this error for other versions of phpBB will be relevant. Most likely your host has updated the MySQL server and it still has old style passwords in it, which PHP no longer allows. You have to reset the database password and make sure it's using MySQ...

Re: E-mail exposes real IP address

As the name of the header implies, it's for abuse purposes. If someone decides to use the email feature of your board to send spam, then mail relays can look at the abuse header and block that instead of just blacklisting everything coming out of your site.

Re: Timeout on Upgrade 3.0.11 to 3.2 - No MSSQL Driver?

PHP itself no longer supports the PHP MSSQL driver and removed it from PHP 5.3+. Thus it has been removed from phpBB as well. You will need to switch to the MSSQL Native driver or use ODBC. You need to update config.php with the new information: $dbms: This will be either mssql_odbc or mssqlnative d...

Re: Cannot send emails through Google SMTP

There's a very simple test to see if the port's open or not. Make a text file, name it test.php, and put this in it: <?php $fp = fsockopen('tls://smtp.gmail.com:587'); if(!$fp) {     echo 'Unable to connect'; } else {     $response = fgets($fp, 256);     echo 'Response: ' . $response; } ?> Upload it...
