Re: Members having to login each time after upgrade to 3.2.1 ?

Are the users who are getting logged out initially signing in over HTTP? Your site allows access via HTTP and HTTPS, but has the cookies set to Secure, which means they will not work on HTTP. If you're going to set the cookies to Secure, you should make sure your site is only available over HTTPS an...

Looking at your picture, it shows that loader.php has a file size of 0. Re-upload that file.

Re: DB server chashing

Looking at the error, your database isn't crashing, but PHP is running out of memory. It appears that you only have about 5MB of memory, which is pretty low. Ask your host to increase your PHP memory to at least 16M or 32M.

Re: Memcached help needed

If you want to use unix sockets, you'll need to add these to your config.php:

Code: Select all

define('PHPBB_ACM_MEMCACHED_PORT', 0);
define('PHPBB_ACM_MEMCACHED_HOST', '/path/to/socket');

The email package size is set by default to "0"
The default is 20. If you set it to 0, it does not use a queue and attempts to send out all emails immediately. Unless your mail server can handle large amounts of email at once, you should set a package size to keep it from being overwhelmed.

Re: Long Delay when Making replies, Post, and PM's

This error: MySQL server has gone away [2006] is caused when the database connection times out without being used. As you mention, a topic/PM is being replied to, which can trigger many notifications; in your case email notifications. While attempting to send one of the emails, there was an error: E...

Re: Can't send e-mails using "Verify SSL certificate"

SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed means that the certificate store PHP is using doesn't have those root certificates in it. You or your host will need to look at your PHP settings and see what certificate store is being used. Then make sure that it exists and contains the releva...

Re: MariaDB problem on a MYSQLi implementation?

There used to be a similar error in phpBB 2 and 3 under a certain scenario. Can you run a few queries for me and post the output: SELECT username, username_clean, user_style FROM phpbb3_users WHERE user_id = 1; SELECT config_value FROM phpbb3_config WHERE config_name = "override_user_style"; SELECT ...

There have been time that it will take over 6 minutes or longer just to load phpadmin in the c-panel.
Unfortunately, this sounds like a problem with your host. There's nothing we'd be able to have you do that could fix it.

Re: reCAPTCHA dead after phpbb 3.2.1 update?

This is a server configuration problem. Your server's certificate store is missing root certificates and verification fails. They need to look at their PHP settings and see what certificate store is being used. Then make sure that it exists and contains the relevant root certificates.

Re: Google reCAPTCHA not working?

phpBB doesn't really control anything related to the reCAPTCHA plugin. Google looks at whatever information it can about you (cookies, IP, visit history, etc..). As it logs more about you, it can more easily detect that you're not a bot so it doesn't have to present a challenge.

How did you update? Did you delete the vendor folder or just let the files be overwritten? You need to delete the vendor folder and upload the new copy of it.

This is a known issue, which according to the ticket may be fixed in 3.2.1. The new bbcode parser is much stricter and rejects invalid uses of HTML.

Re: Upload avatars broken

If you download the file and open it with a text editor, you will notice that there's a space at the very beginning. If you remove the space, it renders fine. If you look at your page source for any of the pages on your board, you will see that there is also a leading space. Something is inserting a...
