The topic title should be a concise summary, the contents of the post itself. I can imagine some general usage issues with longer titles.
Also, there are better ways to show a longer summary. I think there is an extension that does that.

I understand where you are coming from, but they've heavily modified the phpBB code already. If they're willing to do custom coding, I just thought installing an extension would thus be fine.

It’s not you, I’ve been having issues since people were reporting 404’s and 500’s a couple of weeks ago. On loading anything the progress bar stalls on about 10% on all devices, iPad, iPhone, laptop & desktop.
Thanks for letting me know. For me, even posting a reply is sometimes problematic.

Re: phpBB.com Website Feedback

Is the scraper back? This site is running incredibly slow for me and I don't think it's my device.

Re: Why is there no way to delete multiple posts at once? I'm having my phpbb spam bot cherry popped

Now that I am digging I found something pretty close to select all . . . respect. This needs to be upfront and center. Simple. minimalist. 👍 I see that you've stopped guests from posting and have cleaned up the spam problem. Now, it's a good idea to install an anti-spam extension as some spammers c...

Re: Why is there no way to delete multiple posts at once? I'm having my phpbb spam bot cherry popped

Judging by the amount of topics that are spam on your board, I would use the prune feature. That could be found in your ACP, Prune Forums, select Forum, and then use the interface to prune topics. Most of the topics there are just spam at this point anyway. Just make sure you don't prune your announ...

Disabled all of the extensions and the problem still persists. I will look into how the board was installed. Some error messages popped up in ACP, see my reply above.
Sorry my recommendations wasn't helpful.

Re: Why is there no way to delete multiple posts at once? I'm having my phpbb spam bot cherry popped

It seems that you allow guests to post on your board. That is not recommended. In addition, you're using a useless CAPTCHA that has been cracked years ago! No wonder why you're having problems getting rid of the spam posts, they're all posted under Anonymous, and from what I can tell, you don't requ...

Re: Admin rank not found

Go to your own profile, click Administer user, find the dropdown menu on the right side of the screen in your ACP screen, choose the option that says Rank, and then you'll get another dropdown where you can choose your rank. Chose your site admin rank from that, then click submit.

Re: Show user groups in User Profile section

I don't see why this was panned. Yes, I think they should be formatted differently than what the images depict but I really don't view this as a bad idea for something like phpBB4.

Re: User post restrictions

Arguably, any NRU restriction can make a spambot harder to spot. phpBB stops them from editing their profile fields by default even though they can be identified by their spammy profile. Regardless, you've made a good point, and that's why many sites put forth an edit time limit. If a spammer wants...

Re: User post restrictions

The best thing is stop them registering in the first place. I know, but some spam accounts are registered by humans, so we really need to think about more than just Captchas. There's nothing wrong with layers of protection anyway. Some are stopped at the gate, others make it through and are stopped...

A link to your board would help. I could copy it from the screenshot, but I am not going to.
I googled the board name and I think this is it: https://www.cessna120140.com/Forum2018/
