Dangerous BBcodes?

I hear a lot with other forums of xss attacks via bbcode. Which codes are safest and which are dangerous to have? I have disabled url and flash... are there any others I need to be aware of that are vulnerable? :?

Stopping certain groups posting links?

Is there a way to allow only certain groups the permission to post url links. As I wish to prevent newly registered users from posting urls. I don't want to disable it fully but allow url links to be posted by the more veteran users that have been around a while as they are more trusted. I can't see...

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

I downloaded the latest version from github. Since I changed that JS location it works like a dream. I am making some amends to it to make it look better. It does a great job and completes the gdpr regulation with the other extension where users can delete their profile and data. I have combined the...

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

YES! I found a fix. The key was in the error in path /styles/all/template/privacy_policy.html on (line 19) {% INCLUDEJS '@' ~ NAMESPACE ~ '/remove_url.js' %} Remove_url.js was not properly declared somewhere in the extension. So I made a copy of remove_url.js and put it in the phpbb asset directory ...

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

This line should be: return $this->helper->render('@david63_privacypolicy/policy_accept.html', $this->language->lang('POLICY_ACCEPT')); and this line should be: return $this->helper->render('@david63_privacypolicy/cookie_body.html', $output_name); Enter the codes you just mention and now it is comi...

Re: [3.2][RC] Privacy Policy

Error: "There are no registered paths for namespace "" in "policy_accept.html" at line 19."

Is there a fix for this error for 3.2.7 yet? It locked me out of my forum and had to disable the extension manually as well as clear cache manually.

What kind of server are you using for your forums?

Close to completing my first forum just a few tweaks and it should be ready. But my server is what is worrying me on how much traffic it can possibly handle. It is a VPS with Intel 2x Core, 8GB Ram, 80GB SSD. After plesk install there is 4GB Ram left with over 70GB SSD left. I am guessing many on he...

Re: Anyway to disable phpbb cache?

Thank you very much for the reply. I will give this a try tomorrow. Hopefully it works. I thought anything that starts with <!-- in code means that is just information in the code and does not affect anything as it is highlighted green in notepad++ meaning it affects nothing? So if I replace the sta...

Anyway to disable phpbb cache?

Is there anyway to disable totally the phpbb cache? I have managed to configure most JS and CSS files by removing asset version code in the theme files such as overall_footer etc. But I can not seem to find the code that declares the following Forum_fn.js Ajax.js and a couple of other theme js files...

Assets_version and Cloudflare cache?

Is there anyway to disable the asset_version in phpbb? It seems when I look on google insights cloudflare caches all files except the asset_version files. All the files without asset_version are cached on cloudflare for 8 days whilst files with asset_version are not cached. It would save a lot of re...
