Re: Disable subject field for replies

Great to see that there are other people with the same problem. Somebody surely must have made a mod for it already?

Disable subject field for replies

I really don't need the subject field for replies. Is there a way to hide it when users post new replies, quote posts and edit their replies? The subject field must be visible when editing the first post in a topic, but not replies. Any advice would be good. I could write a mod for it myself, but it...

3.0.2 change - restrict redirect on login?

In phpBB 3.0.2's changelog, the following line bothers me: [Change] Don't allow redirects to different domains. (thanks nookieman) My forum is a subdomain, forums.mysite.com. On www . mysite.com, I have a login box, which has a post action taking the user to forums.mysite.com (to log in), and then b...

Re: Remove subject field on reply

Bump. Put simply - this is what I want the mod to do:
  • Hide the "Subject" field when posting a reply or quoting a post
  • Hide the field when editing a post, unless the post is the first post in a topic (so it will still be possible to change the topic title)

Remove subject field on reply

Hello all. Currently, there doesn't seem to be a mod or feature that gives the option to only show the Subject field when posting a new topic, and hide it when posting a reply. I would like to do that myself, but I ran into a small problem - it's easy to hide it when the mode is "reply" or...

Slow forum

Hello. My host told me that I was using too much server resources and that I had to optimize my scripts. I looked around at my site, but all pages were generated very quickly. However, when I started looking at the generation time on phpBB, I noticed that many pages took more than one second to be g...

Problems with 3.0.RC8 -> 3.0.0

I'm using the automatic upgrade package. I update the database, and when it comes to the step "Cleaning usernames", I have to change the username for one user. When I submit that, I get the following error: Notice: Use of undefined constant UTF8_ASCII_RANGE - assumed 'UTF8_ASCII_RANGE' in ...

Re: [Request] Auto-lock old topics

I actually expected more support than this. It shouldn't be too hard to do, but I don't have a clue on how I would be able to do it myself :(

[Request] Auto-lock old topics

Hello. This is a quite simple request and shouldn't be too hard to make. I need a feature that works like the auto-prune - obviously locking the topic instead of deleting it. More specifically, all topics in a certain forum that have been inactive for two weeks (no replies for more than 14 days) sho...
