I have a forum and all kind of mods installed, and it's all messed up, some mods I dont need any more, some dont work as they should and so on, so now I would like to remove all the mods form the forum but would like to keep the posts and users, what's the best way to do this?

There's no point in posting messages if your members can't see them - and they can't unless they visit your forum (which they won't do until they see something that interests them - chicken and egg situation!).
