Just a quick question is there a modification where members in a message board can tag other members who will then get a notification of this? Basically something similar to what Facebook do?

Hi guys on my messageboard if your looking via a desktop computer you can see gray at the sides of the message board. Is there anyway I can make my forum have the same image background that you can see on my website?
