Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Timezone Clock

I was using the previous version. The reason I asked about which version you had installed before is because I was wondering what made it work on your portal page. The only thing added in version 1.3.2 was the ability to limit how many locations show on mobile devices when they are set to display. ...

Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Timezone Clock

Being a "Ham operator', I have an "Interest " in time zones, So I have been using it for a while. The previous version did not add the Time zone clock to the Board3 portal page. I was wondering how I might do it myself somehow...Since the latest version does it, Kudos :D Right on. Wh...

Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Timezone Clock

Installed and working on my test board, and main site. even added the clock to my portal page. might be nice to be able to change the background and text colors independently from the rest of the board.... Thanks for trying it out. :) Aside from changing colors, how did you like the extension overa...

Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Timezone Clock

There's still a couple more changes I'm working on that I'll be sending to James for review in the next few weeks. Depending on his schedule it might be a month or so before the next release is ready. That next update (probably 1.3.2) should include my last planned changes. I'm looking forward to t...

Re: Win10, the (still free) cat in the bag.

yeah that's what I did originally (search). lol It's just such a hodgepodge of things that need to be done and hard to keep up with. I was hoping by now maybe someone had worked out a better process. :( I'm going to replace my HD pretty soon so I figured that would be a good time to reload and take ...

Re: Win10, the (still free) cat in the bag.

Now again at the spy defense in the registry. So, do you know of any good links to any lists of what changes should be made? Preferably with explanations, but even with just a list I can probably figure out the reasoning. I went through and changed a lot of recommended settings when I first install...

Re: overwriting external hard coded style rules

... lots to play with there... Well, you asked for "Any ideas." :) I also found this on stackoverflow, https://stackoverflow.com/questions/34380782/google-translate-widget-responsive . I took the suggested code from that page and added it to the template files for your extension. This sol...

Re: overwriting external hard coded style rules

I played around with the css to get the logo and select-box to look the same as it did with the google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE layout. This is pretty close now, so it might be a workable replacement for you. It still doesn't have the down arrow in the select box or the > for t...

Re: overwriting external hard coded style rules

My Google Translate extension uses Googles code, some of which has hard coded style rules in the html. Any ideas? The google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.SIMPLE layout uses an iframe which makes it all a little more difficult because of cross-site scripting security issues. You can delet...

Re: !!!Registration captcha illegible

What IS the right way to do it, in your estimation? That was my original question, after all. No one could read the other one. ... If you'd like to give me a better option, I'd be happy to hear it. Depending on how you setup your registration approval and forum moderation you might not even need an...

Re: Re: !!!Registration captcha illegible

that captcha might be "useless" and if so, WHY IS IT IN THERE? Are we supposed to NOT use it? The reason the image captcha anti-spam measures included with phpBB aren't recommended is because the spambots have already figured out how to circumvent them. As others already mentioned, they s...

Re: Confused here, is what i want exactly a style or extension?

It's a bit confusing because the example shows a desire to lock the forum until register/login and also a link to see the regular unlocked forum. You could try checking out the Pages extension . That one will let you create static pages to use in your forum. You might be able to create a landing pag...

Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Timezone Clock

Timezone Clock is one of my favorite extensions. I found it's really handy when I post a reply or pm to just look up at the timezone bar to know what time it is for who I'm writing to. I think it also just really looks cool on the page. :) I liked it so much I worked out several configuration option...

Re: Advancedpf - help removing title

...I need to remove the title field, so that it doesn't show on the profile. I have no idea what file these settings are in, nor how to modify them to do that. One way to do this is to hide the "Title:" with css. I looked at how the title is displayed, and this should work on pretty much ...
