Re: How not to expose admin e-mail ?

Thank you.

Then is it possible to hide it by modifying template ?
If yes. In which file(s) should I look int subSilver2 and proSilver.

(Any suggestions to secure it is welcome.)

How not to expose admin e-mail ?

Hello,

It seems to me that there is always a way to contact the admin of a forum at the admin e-mail.
Is there any built-in way not to expose the admin's e-mail address ?
Because it's mainly a source of spams.

Thank you

Re: E-mail notifications

About PMs, ok, I've tried with 2 different accounts and it works. I'm just surprised that phpBB takes 'self-PM-ing' into account. phpBB, by default, doesn't send notifications for new posts because many people may consider that to be spam. Therefore, there are options for individual members to choos...

Re: E-mail notifications

Thank you. That's a better solution for now.
But on my other forum I don't remember at all having to register to forums or managing forum permissions for admin notifications.

Re: E-mail notifications

Hello, Thank you but what I'm looking for is not a mod. One of my (mod free) phpBB send me an e-mail when a new topic is created, the other one doesn't. There should be a way to set the second one to act as the first one does. Regarding the private message : - 'Notify me on new private messages' alr...

E-mail notifications

Hello, As admin on my forum I get and e-mail if: - I send myself an e-mail through the board UI. - Also ACP mass mailing works. But I don't receive e-mail, and I would like to: - When someone opens a new topic - When I send myself a private message Where am I supposed to look to set that ? Thank you...

How to deactivate the 'Newly Registered Users' group ?

Hello,

I would like to deactivate this group, not delete it.
Or at least I want new users to go in 'Registered Users' and not in 'Newly Registered Users'.

Thank you for your help.

Ok, I had not seen that message yet.

Re: How to deactivate message approving ?

Second from the same user, same problem again.

It's a rather confidential forum so there's actually no other users for now.

Re: How to activate reCaptcha ?

Thank you for this info, but I'm not looking for the Captcha that I should use. (I usually use a very simple home made 'anti-bot' field which seems to work on 'confidential' boards I use to have.) But I'm the author of two phpBB styles and I want to correct what seems to be a CSS mistake regarding t...

How to activate reCaptcha ?

Hello,

I have just been informed that reCaptcha was included in phpBB. I did not know that but what I read seems to confirm it.

But I can't find what I'm supposed to do to activate it.

Thank you for your help.

Re: [Release] WoWMoonclaw 3.0.8.0 for phpBB 3.0.8

Actually : In the past I have had to wait a very long time for some validations (sometimes about one year). If I remember well, this template was already spread all over the 'WoW' web before the first validation. (2005~2006) So here's the logic for my template versions/release: 3.0.8.[0 or even numb...
