Re: Found a trojan on my board

I've found out that .htm/.html/.php files in non public folders on the server also are infected. It is quite likely that you have a keylogger trojan or some other type of malware on the PC that you use to upload files to your host. By this means, the hackers can get your account's username/password...

How do you know if it's working or not? Access are logged in the phpbb_bad_behavior table. The column named 'key' will have some value other than '00000000' for accesses that are blocked. I've been running this for about a week. So far, there are no blocked accesses in my table (but plenty of other...

I ran into two problems when installing this. Firstly, there is a missing 'global' declaration in bb2_install: # # #-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------ # bad-behavior-phpbb2.php #-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------ # function bb2_install() { # #-----[ AFTER, A...

[Alpha] Generate CSS for theme

On my forum, I wanted to move the style definitions out of overall_header.tpl into a stylesheet (to reduce transfer volume) but I didn't want to give up the convenience of being able to modify elements of the theme via the ACP. Since the style definitions already contain templating elements, all tha...

Sorry, I'm using v3.0.3 - much improved over v2.0.0. I guess you're using the latter. There seems to be a mix of posts in this (very long) thread for v2 and v3. A new thread should probably be started for v3 to eliminate the confusion. Anyway, here is a link to Herb's site to get the newer version: ...

A simple way to do what you want is to modify the function get_file() in ezdloads.php. Change this: $current_file = "{$current_dir}/{$file}"; if (is_file($current_file)) { $file_list[] = "{$current_dir}/{$file}"; } To this: $current_file = "{$current_dir}/{$file}"; if (is_file($current_file)) { $pat...

common.php does call config.php, but the variable is unset after it is used

Indeed. I forgot about that. Never mind.

I am guessing that you are using a phpBB integration, perhaps with postNuke or something. In a vanilla phpBB installation config.php is in the root phpBB folder in config.php. Like all mods I support an out of the box phpBB installation. Actually not. I just decided to relocate and rename the confi...

I installed this mod on my forum and ran into a couple of problems. The origin of the problem is that my phpBB configuration file is not named config.php and is not located in the phpBB forum directory. In my common.php, I have modified the include for the configuration file so that the forum works ...

Some of my users have complained about the fact that the original (uncorrected) text is posted when Submit is clicked while still in spell check mode. Is there a way to detect that the edit box is in spell check mode when either Preview or Submit are clicked?

Script for Pruning via a cron Job

I want my board to be pruned automatically according to each forum's setting without requiring a moderator to visit each forum. I couldn't find a script to prune the forums via a cron job (though several posts suggested that one existed somewhere). Here is a v0.0.0 PHP script that seems to work: <?p...
