I am having an issue again, peoples usernames in their posts, when you click them, it quotes them instead of opening their profile. Any ideas?

You're replacing the files, not the database. The files control the version and the function and the look. The database has all the users and posts. Yes you can, but how will that assist you in updating? If MySQL isn't installed, then you can't have a running RC5 board. Yes. You can do all the upgrading off line or on a second installation then move the files across (except for the config.php) and run the update file and it'll be fine. I have a test site, can I just put the new 3.3 Forum on there and style it as I want, then just overwrite the files on my RC5 forum. Will it still pick up the same Database, would this work?
