Re: Copying parameters of a new forum

Even if you could copy a forum's data you would, as a minimum, have to change its name, description and possibly its parent. By the time you had found a way to copy and made the necessary changes you could have done it in a controlled way through the ACP Hello David63, Thanks for your comment, that...

Hello Brf,

Yes I meant this kind of settings... so I don't have to check them all the time I create a new forum

Copying parameters of a new forum

Hello, I am installing a new forum. I have created a category in the admin and a forum inside that category. CAT 1 -> FORUM 1 Now I would like to create a new forum under CAT1 (example FORUM 2) and I would like to know if there is a way to copy the parameters or settigns (not the permissions) from F...

Re: Deactivated after email address change

not sure what the problem is. when the admin gets the email it says that the account has been deactivated or newly created and to check it . why do you need a different email? as admin you should check any email that comes in that says activate. you are already doing this and assuming it is a new a...

Re: Deactivated after email address change

The reason it is a security issue is as follows: A user leaves his computer while logged in to phpBB. Anyone can come along, change that user's email address to their own, logout and request a new password which would then be sent to the new email address. Now that person can log in as the original...

Preventing desactivation when a member changes his email

Hello all :) If someone knows (maybe the mod already exists) I would be interested in a mod that PREVENTS the fact of being desactivated when you change your email. I use admin activation on my forum, Another way would be to have a mod that would allow me to receive a different subject email when a ...

Re: Deactivated after email address change

I thought of something this morning. If I am not mistaken the email subject is the same if it is for the activation of a new member than if it is for a member that has changed his email. So if we could differentiate that, it would be at least a good step. A subject like " Someone has changed h...

Re: Allow Moderators to activate new users ?

You could allow the Moderator Group to have just those permissions to Manage users through the ACP (I've tried this) by going to Permissions > Administrators > Add Groups [section] > Global Moderators > Advanced Permissions > Users & Groups > Can manage users > Yes. Leave everything else to No,...

Re: Email change makes user 'inactive'

Hello :)

If someone knows I am interested in a mod (or a way to do it) that would allow me to receive a different subject email when a user has changed his email rather than when it is a new member.

I use admin activation on my forum,

Thanks in advance,

If anyone knows of such a mod or settings, I am interested. Indeed, I send the activation link to my moderators team and I would like them to be able to activate users.

Re: Deactivated after email address change

Hello all :)

First sorry about empty messages above, was not able to delete it. If a moderator can do that, it would be great.

I am still interested if someone has a solution for receiving a different message when someone a member has changed his email and need to be re-activated.
