Re: Can I put a banner ad under my header?

I think it is relatively easy to follow. If you get stumped though, they do have their own forums for support.

Re: Can I put a banner ad under my header?

I use the rotator called PHPadsnew and it works like a charm.

http://www.phpadsnew.com/two/

Just put the invocation code from phpAdsnew into your overall header and your good to go.

Pulling topics and displaying them

If I wanted to pull recent posts from a certain forum section what function would I use to pull them and display them? I want to display some of the recent topics above the main forum. I tried to dig around the phpbb files to see if anything jumped out at me but couldn't find anything. Any help woul...

Re: Ad space

Cancel that :)

I knew the second I posted, I would figure it out. Forgot you had to refresh the template in acp. Good lord!

Ad space

OK I am about to repeatedly bash my head against a wall. No matter what I do, I can not get anything to visually show up on my webpage that I code into the overall_header file. All I'm trying to do is create a space to put my phpadsnew banners in. Anyone have any clues before I knock myself unconsci...

Re: Age restricted access

Thanks but that's not what I am trying to do. I want to restrict access to a forum based on age. Not restrict registration based on age.

Age restricted access

I may be going insane but I swear I read somewhere while looking at the phpbb3 features you could age restrict access to a forum? Am I going nuts or is this possible? I've been all over the ACP and haven't found a way to do it.

Re: [14/12/06] Textual Confirmation

That fixed the errors, but now the TC configuration link in the ACP is gone.

Re: [14/12/06] Textual Confirmation

It says "hacking attempt" Good. It means that the file "functions_tc.php" really exists. In "admin_tc.php", try to change require_once($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_tc.' . $phpEx); to something like it: require_once(dirname(__FILE__) . '../includes/functions_t...

Ok, if I go into the forum a little deeper and then click to go into the ACP my side bar is there. But I still get the error if I go to the ACP from the MXBB front page.

Re: [14/12/06] Textual Confirmation

I lost the sidebar in my admin CP after installing and this error is in place of it

Code: Select all

PHP or JS in Header/footers?

I'm trying to implement PHPAdsNew to my forums for my banners but I cant get the banners to show. The only thing I can guess is php or Javascript doesn't work in overall header or footer. Is that the case, or should it work? Otherwise... If anyone uses this great program and can lend me some advice ...

Good news.
Dear Joe,

The complaint volume, at this time, is not enough to cause a major concern and this, coupled with your explanation of the situation is reason enough for Go Daddy to consider this matter closed.
