Re: BBcode Buttons Not Working

All of them work for me with OPER 11.10 and FFOX 3.5 on WinXP as intended: being pressed they either enclose the selection with the BBCode or without selection they append empty BBCodes to the end. The problem must be at your side: which browser in which version on which operating system are you us...

Re: BBcode Buttons Not Working

My board is at I need either: a forum where I can create a topic as a guest or a topic where I can reply as a guest or an account. To reconstruct your problem I must be able to enter the editor, which is impossible without proper permissions - that's why the Support Request Template always asks for...

Re: BBcode Buttons Not Working

Both /styles/prosilver/template/forum_fn.js and /styles/prosilver/template/editor.js are broken. Make sure to have correct ones (i.e. by downloading phpBB3 again and then extracting both files), then re-upload them. I had a modified editor.js and I have replaced it from the stick version, but my bb...

Highway of Life wrote:The SERP already displays the page title. I would use {SITE_DESCRIPTION} in the meta description for the index page instead of page title.
That is pretty much what I put, I just manually types out something instead of using the variable.

Highway of Life wrote:Topic title, page title, those are already in the title tag, so I don’t see much point to adding those to your meta description. :|
That's true, but couldn't hurt. I mostly just wanted to give a better description for the Index page.

Re: Meta tags or SEO Mod?

If you want to display something on just the index, you would do: <!-- IF SCRIPT_NAME == 'index' -->put your code here. <!-- ENDIF --> Yes thanks, HOL. I actually found that somewhere else too cuz U_INDEX was showing on every page, not just the Index like I thought. What do you guys think of using ...

Re: Meta tags or SEO Mod?

Nevermind, <!-- IF U_INDEX --> seems to work.

Re: Meta tags or SEO Mod?

As we discussed on the podcast, here are the changes to the title tag that I would recommend, very similar to what Eelke posted, but with some modifications: <title><!-- IF S_VIEWTOPIC -->{TOPIC_TITLE} • <!-- ELSEIF S_VIEWFORUM -->{FORUM_NAME} • <!-- ELSEIF SCRIPT_NAME != 'index' -->{PAGE...

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

Automod currently fails with inline removes. You can force automod to uninstall but the files it states it can't find the edits for you will have to remove manually. Ouch, well that really sucks. Should I be removing the whole line then? It doesn't really say what should become what: Find $sql = 'S...

Re: Topic Text in Mouse Over

Hello, I e-mailed you, but I think the forum is more appropriate.

When trying to remove the automod all the inline text finds fail. Is there a way to get around this or a better way to remove the mod?

Re: Topic Preview

I see what you are saying on your board. However, your example is very unusual... Your example is basically: [quote="[url]http://example.com[/url]"]http://example.com[/quote] You have a bbcode inside of another bbcode! Your example is very untypical and not really easy to deal with. This mo...

Re: Topic Preview

Been using RMcGirr83's mod, even contributed a few bug fixes. I like this better though, since it's more like the vBulletin feature. I submitted some JS to RMcGirr83 to omit bbcode since it looks terrible in the preview, any plans to add this ability as well? I could take a look if I get some time....

Re: [RC] Basic Forum Icon Legend

Love this mod. So simple, I can't for the life of me understand why this is not included as a default option. Just installed a new 3.0.6 board and the mod installed perfectly with Automod. I like VSE's suggestions above, but don't feel like breaking the Automod removability or editing the XML. Woul...
