Re: Maybe I'm missing it...

Thanks for the response guys. This is fairly complex, unfortunately my coding skills are pretty basic. I'm going to give it a shot and see how it goes.

Maybe I'm missing it...

Hello all, I'm a (very) late updater, so I'm in the process of porting my 2.0.x site over to 3.0.12. It's possible I'm missing something here, but I'm searching for a MOD that will allow me to post recent topics from my 3.0.12 forum to the home page on my site. I've searched for such a MOD and only ...

Re: Happy Release Birthday / Gold Release Date announced

Thank [insert deity here]. I had given up hoping for a release and stopped planning. I'm glad to see I can get back to it!

Re: How to put latest forum topics into a joomla front page?

Check the MODs page out. I use one called Topics Anywhere and it's foolproof. Just a quick JS and one simple page, you can't go wrong.

Re: Legacy Forum

Forgive me, I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you mean do I want to keep the old Categories as well? The answer to that is yes, I'd like to keep the old fora organized by the year to which they are relevant.

Legacy Forum

I run a board reelated to an annual event, and we create a new category for each year we have this event. Obviously, this makes the main forum page very long after a while, but I don't want to delete the old posts completely, rather I was thinking about creating a separate "legacy" forum where these...

Re: Header Question

Edit your overall_header.tpl to change the link on your logo. Change the {U_INDEX} to your home page.

Edit the same page, viewtopic_body.tpl, viewforum_body.tpl, etc file to add in Google ads depending on where you want them.

Re: Restrict to subnet for registration

Assuming you have access to your web server, and also assuming you only want people on your intranet to see the site, restricting access to only your intended subnet is a 20 second operation. Adjust your Allow/Deny settings on your web server. I don't know of a MOD that will do what you want. The we...

Re: Installing new theme.

If you haven't done so, you need to update the name of the theme in the .cfg files within the style. Otherwise phpBB lists only proSilver because it doesn't see another name to list.

Re: signatures fail to appear

Maybe a "duh" question, but did you verify that "Allow Signatures" is checked to Yes on the ACP? If it is, then I'm guessing there's an issue with one of your mods.

Re: How do u post a link in a msg

You either enable the html tag in the ACP or post using the url bbcode tag.

Code: Select all

Re: Footer not finishing

Have you modified your overall_footer.tpl? If so, that's likely your culprit.
