Re: Google search like here on phpbb.com

Did you do anything special to improve the indexing of the phpbb.com forums? I'm trying to use the AdSense for search on my website, but there are very few pages that come up in the search results.

Re: Duplicate internal forums / categories?

I am trying to do this, and while I was googling it, I found this old topic.

Is there any news about this?

Re: Truly disabling the forum

I understand what you're trying to determine, but no, the test user is a regular user (it only belongs to both registered users and newly registered users groups). I'm logging in with this user on a different browser session (an incognito mode windows of Google Chrome), so there's no way it is messi...

Re: Truly disabling the forum

Can you tell me what does that setting changes on the database and how do pages check for that setting in order to disable the forum itself? That way I could test on my own the database and the PHP files in order to try to find the problem.

Re: Users aren't removed automatically from the Newly Registered

I also noticed that there are a lot of members with a post count lower than the post limit that I setup on the board settings. I performed a rough query with phpMyAdmin and got over 3000 records: SELECT user_id, username, user_posts FROM phpbb_users where user_posts < 15 and user_id not in (SELECT u...

Re: Truly disabling the forum

I'm logging in with the test user's credencials.
Even if I don't login at all (as a guest, thus), I can see the public sections of my forum.

Re: Truly disabling the forum

I have a test user with regular permissions (belongs to the Registered Users and Newly Registered Users groups) and it is still able to browse through the forum when it is disabled.

Could there be a group permission that allows this to happen?

Users aren't removed automatically from the Newly Registered

Hi, I upgraded my phpBB board to the 3.0.6 version in order to make use of the Newly Registered Users group. The new users are automatically assigned to this group and as soon as they reach the "new member post limit" (as a matter of fact I think it is that value + 1), they are automatical...

Truly disabling the forum

I've set the Administration Panel > General Admin > Configuration > Disable Board to YES, but that doesn't seem to have any practical effect on my forum. The only difference is a "this forum is currently disabled" message that shows on the top of the forum. Users, no matter what group they...

Preventing non auth users from using "view new posts"

Hi, Although I have some permission settings that don't allow a non authenticated visitor to see a number of sections, if that visitor tries to access the "view new posts" URL (domain/search.php?search_id=newposts) it will be able to see a great number of posts, even if they're on restrict...

Best CH->phpBB3 convertor

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what is the best CH (phpBB2 based) to phpBB3 convertor available? If possible, could you provide either the name or the link?

Best regards.

Mardi gras/Easter/etc smiles

Hi,

I wasn't sure if this was the right section to post this question. Please forgive me if it isn't.

I'm looking for holiday styled smiles, just like these ones for Christmas, for every holidays (easter, mardi gras, etc). Do you know any?

Best regards,
Norberto

I have a new problem with this attachment: when I check my private messages (privmsg.php?folder=inbox) the "Your Attachbox is xx% full" is out of place, or at least to me it is. What I mean is that this "fullness" box is neither at the side nor on top or on bottom of the "Yo...
