Re: Sortables CAPTCHA Plugin

I don't suppose there will eventually be an option to have multiple sortable sets?

Re: Fancy jQuery Captcha

Ooh, looks nice.

Unfortunately, it looks like you have to be somewhat of a graphics artist to make new icons, as the item borders are part of the images.

Re: SimpleMath Captcha Plugin

I don't mean to sound negative, but wouldn't this CAPTCHA be fairly easy to break? It's not hard to convert words to symbols and textual numbers to digits.

Or am I missing something here?

Re: Founders removing Founder permissions from others

I'm set as a founder on my board. After the phpBB 2 to 3 conversion, all my existing Administrators were given Founder status. However, I've found that 3.0.1 will not let me remove the Founder status from these users. Is this intentional or accidental? I'm dumb, I just realized there's two Submit b...

Re: [12/12/06] Photo-Recognition Visual Confirmation

Just a question, but do I need to change all the templates or just the one I have set as default? I would think just the default one, as no other templates should be showing the registration page, but I just wanted to make sure. Edit: I forgot about admin stuff. I can't describe how happy I'll be on...

2.0.14 HTML not working in signatures?

I upgraded to 2.0.14 earlier today, and now, even though HTML is turned on globally, signatures in HTML display the HTML code instead of what it should.

Other users report that they can see HTML signatures just fine. Anyone know what I've done wrong?

anyone know where i can get a list of these numbers and what they do??? OK, chmod is actually a set of four octal (base 8, 0-7) values. The first one is usually set to 0 and ignored, leaving the remaining three values. They are, in order: ugo u = user (owner) g = group o = other (everyone else) Not...

hey lily white! thanks i finally got in :) Will you tell me how? LOL Because I can't get into mine. LOL The Admin Panel requires the SID (Session ID) to be passed through the URL. The easiest way to fix this would be to add {ADMIN_LINK} to your overall_footer.tpl file. Edit: Fixed template name.

template.php updated... what about template_file_cache.php?

I just upgraded to 2.0.12.

I noticed that the version of template_file_cache.php that's in the contrib directory of the patch tar.gz is the same as the old version.

Do I need to manually apply the update that template.php needed to this file, or is it not needed for the cache versions?

For some reason, when editing the admin_styles file, I have $confirm = ( isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['confirm']) ) ? TRUE : FALSE; $cancel = ( isset($HTTP_POST_VARS['cancel']) ) ? TRUE : FALSE; in the file already, but up before the $no_page_header line. Is that supposed to be there, or did I enter some w...

In includes/page_tail.php, make sure that the $admin_link line is as follows:

Code: Select all

$admin_link = ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN ) ? '<a href="admin/index.' . $phpEx . '?sid=' . $userdata['session_id'] . '">' . $lang['Admin_panel'] . '</a><br /><br />' : '';

There's a function, append_sid() that does this for you.

However, if the buttons are going to an admin section, you will need to use the userdata array as mentioned above.

I believe that this should instead by $admin_link = ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN ) ? '<a href="admin/index.' . $phpEx . '?sid=' . $userdata['session_id'] . '">' . $lang['Admin_panel'] . '</a><br /><br />' : ''; or at least that's what my 2.0.6 -> 2.0.8 converted board has. Incidently, append_s...

The whole point of it, is that it will stop the CPU getting thrashed by constant attacks, and solves the security issues. Once an IP is put into the htaccess file, it will only ever receive a 403 error page. The problem with using an .htaccess file is: 1. It's specific to the NCSA httpd server and ...
